i have been on the latest version of TFAR since the update, I have no issues, however there could be some if you have not updated the plugin but are using the new  files this could cause compatibility issues

I have version 0.9.12 of TFAR. But I think this problem has to do with ACE or settings in ACE since I had the same problems when we were using ACRE

Came to think of something today. Before I connected yesterday, I disabled the indicated option. It may or may not be a factor, but as I didn't have as much problems yesterday, my guess would be that with the option enabled, TS3 3D position information (wherever it gets it from) adds to / conflicts with those of TFAR or ACE.

Nice thank you. Yeah it has to be a configuration thing since not everyone has this problem

I have that box unchecked. But i tried checking it just because and there were no noticable difference.

I had the same problem when I logged in as regular Rifleman and Ast. Autorifleman. Oddly enough, even putting my TS output up to the max (+20dB, I believe) didn't give me any noticeable difference in-game, but when someone actually talked through TS, it was extremely loud.

According to what I could find with a quick Google search, it may have something to do with ACE hearing (as said by others, helmets and earplugs muffling the sounds), but couldn't find a fix so far.

EDIT: Connected again today. Didn't have the issue at all. Weird... :/

Yeah same for me, normal TS talk is working good. Radio is alot better than direct speech aswell. Tried googling too but couldn´t find anything

I've found all ACRE / TFAR volume to be lower than normal TeamSpeak volume.

Best I can do is to suggest that you try fiddling with your TeamSpeak volume settings, possibly adding a decibel boost.

Thats what i did if you read the post:AreYouSerious-min:. In teamspeak: Settings > Options > playback tab > increase voice volume adjustment. That only works a little bit.

  6. I´ve had this problem as long as i can remember. All the time when i play with other players and they use direct speech their volume is so low I can´t hear them. The workaround that works best is for me is to lower the ingame volume to about 10% and crank up my speakers to 20 bars out of 30, i usually have 3 bars so it´s really loud. Then i can hear people talking normally, problem is that i lose the ability to hear vehicles and if i get a message from steam or something else outside arma it´s deafeningly loud.

I´ve tried increasing the volume in teamspeak but that increases the static aswell. I have increased TS volume by about 3-5 dB and that works but not any higher. Once i remember there were some new players on the server and they said they couldn´t hear people talking aswell. Are any of you guys experiencing the same problem?

  7. #Bug I´ve played the get the radio codes on fallujah but when i got to the radio station i couldnt get any popup for getting the codes so i had to abort it. I used the vanilla arma scrolling.

#Bug Just played lingor and the eliminate HVT mission autocompleted and then the radio tower was next and it autocompleted aswell

#Suggested improvement. This is on every map: You can spawn a MAT crate but its only for the SMMAW. I would love a MAT crate for the MAAWS

The PSO-1 is one of the best squad level marksmen scopes I've ever used, the stadiametric rangefinder is a godsend when you need to return accurate fire quickly.

The RPG scope is difficult at first but there's a guide floating around on steam that explains it perfectly.

As for the light AT, use your swap optics button and you switch from the block sight up top to a rangeable sight, admittedly that sight is difficult to use quickly as you can lose sight picture very easily but it allows for a decent range, 250-300m if memory serves.

For combating the M1, use the RPG with the tandem heat warheads, their range is limited but they will mess the tank up.

All in all, don't just give up on playing russians, learn how to use their equipment effectively and it can be tremendous fun

The thing is the RPG-7 was zeroed to 100m but all the different rockets landed on different distances even though i had the sights on the exact same place making it very hard to hit anything above 200m.

What do you think of the current rules?

This is one I was paying a lot of attention to, only 10% voted that they were difficult to understand, 20% voted they were difficult to find and 33.3% voted they were difficult to remember. Quite an eye opener, I’ll see if we can simplify them and make them easier to find in future.

A bit curious, what part of that was eye opening?

  10. The EU3 server uses TADST to serve up missions, and it hasn't been updated for the 1.58 difficulty profiles, so this is why we're stuck at the moment.  Technically you can create a custom server profile and manually use it to load the missions, but this hasn't really been explored, I think.

Alright, thanks for the information  :P

We did have elite with 3rd person enabled. Not sure if it has changed now.

Yeah i think i remember, Elite was pretty hardcore as i remember it.  Spotting you while prone at 500 meters turning and shooting you in the head on the first shot kinda deal

  11. I find the regular bots a little bit bad. But in order to play against harder AI you have to change the difficulty to expert which removes 3rd person view. I thought i had found a workaround for that under game options when voting for the map where you can change only the bot aim and skill. When moved that slider the difficulty automatically changes to "custom" but when I start the mission it´s expert difficulty anyways.

Sure I enjoy playing in first person but I would love if there was an opportunity to play against expert AI with without being forced to 1st person. Is that something that is possible?

  12. Today I updated Arma 3 on steam to the latest version and now i can´t play on EU #3. When i connect I get an error message saying Connecting failed and there´s a cross next to EU #3 in the arma 3 server browser. When i hover over it it says different version.

So my question is when do you plan to update the server to the new Arma 3 version?

  13. Well i think you are missing my point. I´ve been plenty of times in Arma 3 and in EU #3. Most of the times i just bandage myself up and get on with it. But ever since the patch a couple of days ago where they updated the repository with ACE. 3.1.1, RHS and some wepon mods it feels like something has changed and now i can only take one shot, I can definitely feel a difference from before the repository update.
