S: Almost replaced left inside main tire. P: Test flight OK, except auto-land very rough. S: Auto-land not installed on this aircraft. P: Something loose in cockpit. S: Something tightened in cockpit. P: Dead bugs on windshield. S: Live bugs on back-order. P: Autopilot in altitude-hold mode produces a 200 feet per minute descent. S: Cannot reproduce problem on ground. P: Evidence of leak on right main landing gear. S: Evidence removed. P: DME volume unbelievably loud. S: DME volume set to more believable level. Major = landing upside down in a hot LZ and still delivering a full Mohawk full of troops Captain = achieving orbit while carrying the sub then delivering it and full crew to the Aquatic side mission without losing altitude Q.2. is there a league table ? ranging from - infinity... which is the new guy that crashes the GhostHawk into the main base flag poles to twenteen bajillion... which is the guy who takes out 5 Kajmans solo above the AO with a Mohawk or HummingBird, without RTB !

Thanks, I went for it as the 5870's scale REALLY well.. I get about 180% improvement with the xtra cards... like I say the shame is that they are only 1GB .. 2GB would be awesome for high texture games.. but the amount spent on the heatsinks alone makes replacing them prohibitive for me right now ... maybe next year maybe trifire R290X

Cheers Dingo, Like I said, I'm a nub, so take it with a pinch of salt... and I can't take all the credit for the outpost idea, Played a load of MWLL a while back and once you take a base, you can then select it to respawn at, until the enemy team takes it back again. seems to fit here. Second Statement "Bruce has far too much time on his hands!" someone else mentioned the idea I really like of counter insurgency, once main AO is taken, maybe it could flag a small force of enemy to re-attack there from a random location... or even Parachute them in or spawn a minigun armed helo full of bad-asses! All credit goes to Kickkill and Leedz ? I think it was who intro'd me to the beauty of AiA for the following idea : adding a main AO around a captured SCUD, the good guys have to get in and get a commander role to the UAV and disable it before waves of troops descend to take it back. or before the timer finishes then BOOM it is VERY James Bond Goldeneye but sounds like fun fun fun. More you say ? how about killing the radio tower means the personal UAV that can actually spot the last guy in AO that insists on hiding his ass for TWO HOURS ! or Squad commander gets a laser designator for a single airstrike per hour or per AO once all enemy air is taken out only. or ... yeah I'll stop now, It is a great credit to the AW team and community that I'm enjoying the game so much, and that I am fired up to tweak stuff and help to improve if I can. So I'd like to begin with a statement " I R n00b !" with that said I shall continue with my rambling assessment of the server I have chosen to inhabit and pollute with my foetid presence. Day 1 ) initiation. Today I joined my first Company assault on Altis, the skies were clear and the sun beat down, it was so hot I decided that I shall forever run around in only my undershorts! I was so happy to see people I did happy little circles on the airstrip until a helo landed on my head, The pilot mentioned my behaviour over global comms and everyone had a good laugh before it all went dark and I was back in the lobby, waiting for a new assignment. Day 2) getting a job The guys welcomed me to the company by making me their medic bitch After sitting next to the pilot in the Helo he looked at me with his soulless dead and uncaring eyes before uttering the words "Get the Frag out!" I presumed he meant get my grenades ready, so I got out and did that before having to get in the cargo area We landed under heavy gunfire and I dove for cover, my comrades in arms all did likewise, choosing only the highest blades of grass to cover their armoured forms, They then began screeaming at me when I refused to run from my fox-hole across the open fields to apply band-aids to their boo-boo's. Day 3) Being a medic is not for everyone Apparently running into the smoking inferno of a tank means that the medic should sacrifice his mortal self for the greater good and dive into the fiery depths to drag comrades to freedom, The sniper next to me who was running point and using his sniper scope to get up close and REAL personal to some enemies Kindly informed me that I "Should do your flipping job, moran!" and because I wouldn't run infront of the enemy tank while he 'covered me!' swiftly demoted me to Repair Spec... I feel happier now, I only have to run along the roads after him in his stolen bobcat and repair it whenever he takes "Evasive Maneuvers" and crashes int oa building.. I feel an overwhelming sense of fulfilment. Day 4) Teamwork is .... Today I got bossed around a lot... "Alpha team, get up that hill..... take those windmills .... cover meeeee ... GO GOGOGOGO .... Bruce lookout for those mines ......!" It's like a home away from home, I even got my first kill ... well, it was raining bullets on the enemy soldier from all angles, but I'm fairly sure that me putting a sniper scope on my pistol meant I got the killing blow! Today ) ... who knows ?!

I'm new, so go easy ! but I'd like to offer an outsiders PoV from my first few days 1) waiting with no medic and respawning is a bitch, especially if there are only a few pilots or multiple AO's ideas : a : option for a squad commander to drop a "rally point" that fallen team mates can respawn at (Once only) and only members of his team can go there (trying to enforce some teamwork too) b: add some "outpost" objectives that once captured (Side mission) can be respawned at .. but eventually the enemy sends a recapture force to take it back 2) Civilians ... where the hell did they all go ? a: obviously repopulating the island is a tough job, but some one has to do it .. amirite ? also, no one wants the performance hit of too many bodies in town but can we get ..some objectives where there are hostages or civilian deaths drops points scored etc. I'm going for food .. will have to think of more after I fill my belly !

Bruce is a retired Weapons Technician, with delusions of Front line aptitude and a burning desire to crash a Mohawk full of troops into the dead centre of the AO. He's been in ArmA2 through BAF and PMC and now, (Finally !) ArmA3 - Single play, thought I'd give Genocide Multiplayer a try ! So far Ahoy World people have welcomed my dulcet tones onto TS and have even introduced me to the historical re-enactment society of AiA (All in ArmA) where we flew billions of dollars worth of equipment into the ground to try and kill single enemies with the resultant blast... ... awesome ! Looking forward to running blindly around Altis with you, shooting at friendlies .. ...and flying you to your deaths ... Mwuahahahah !
