Pete Ban Appeal

Hi, i tried to log in today and was greeted with this message: you were kicked off, battle eye admin ban (pete lobby idling - zis - 1 week).

i can only think this refers to me receiving a phone call yesterday when i had just logged in. I then logged back in after the call and was playing happily as a medic all evening.

Have i really received a 1 week ban for this?? i'm a responsible (and i'd like to think popular) player and am quite astounded to be facing a ban and was even considering applying for an admin post myself.

you've been kicked for lobby idling on more than one occasion! Quite a few in fact so if you'd like to be honest in your ban appeal that would be great.

Hi, thanks for replying.

i work from home and i don't doubt that i have idled on more than one occasion. My understanding is that if you are connected with no player input for a short period of time then you are disconnected and just reconnect. i had no idea that this could face a ban or i would certainly make sure i fully disconnect if i need to answer a call, take a leak, make a sandwich etc.

you've made yourself clear, i now know what not to do so can we please sort this out sooner rather than later?

Lobby idling takes up slots on our servers resulting in players being unable to join. Your excuse of having to use the bathroom, taking a call or making a sandwich isn't really valid if you get auto kicked and reconnect seconds later.

I will reduce the ban on the understanding that if you are caught idling again the ban will be for a longer period of time. Maybe do all those things before hopping on the server.
