  1. I'm up for it, again depends on the timings
  2. Yes. All modules (including the free SU-25T and TF-51) are compatible online and you don't need any of the other modules to be able to see them (eg you could be in the Su-25T and you'd still be able to see people in a Huey even if you haven't bought it).
  3. Ahhh can't make it again! I'll get there eventually. Downloading Nevada now (0.6kB/s ) but I would say stay on the pretty stable 1.5.1 for now until everything is sorted with 2.0. I will join you all soon... I promise... I will. Also, Dingo, can't wait for the Gazelle! I'll be able to spot all the differences between the French's and ours.
  4. VEAO have just released a video showing off the new, more accurate, flight model for the Hawk which will hopefully be released soon. It also looks like it's been done in 1.5 which still amazes me at how pretty it is. Also Raz, that smoke at 3 minutes looks epic and a lot easier to see. Might be time to dust off the old synchro pair...
  5. A-10C please. I should be able to make it. At the worst I will be there at 1800UTC
  6. Ah missed this! Not around tonight, only tomorrow. Also not around next weekend I'll keep my eye out for the next one!
  7. Unfortunately I won't be able to make most of the races. I'm only available for the final two. I'll still sign up though and just join you for the final two races. If it turns out I can make the earlier races then its a bonus!
  8. So today I went on the centrifuge at Farnborough and did a few runs culminating with a run at 5.2 G (even though the readout says 5!) It really makes you think about when we're flying in our flight sims - especially DCS - and easily pulling Gs in excess of this. Admittedly this is without trousers but I was putting full effort into straining my legs and stomach (no controlled breathing yet though, need to learn that.) All I was concentrating on was keeping conscious and not having to worry about where to manoeuvre an aircraft in order to get my next missile shot away! Also, I can vouch for the accuracy of the 'G effects' in DCS. My vision at the point in the photo below is pretty much the same as in the 2nd shot. You really do get tunnel vision with everything else black! My vision at this point!
  9. Check this video out! Some really great views of the MFCDs and HUD. Also love the CAS check-in and radio comms with the JTAC.
  10. Looks fun. I'll be there. A-10C for me now that the war on GTA V smuggling has started! Although a Hawk in reserve is always a good thing...
  11. I agree with Dave here. I'm not going to update to Steam Edition as I have far too much invested in the current boxed edition that is not yet compatible with SE. Its the same reason why I've never bothered with P3D. If at some point in the future, devs are predominately creating content for SE and not the boxed version (which I do see coming), then I will have no choice but to consider the switch. Hopefully by that time the vast majority of the addons I use now will be compatible with SE and I won't have to pay anything to get a SE compatible file (which I've heard isn't the case with P3D, another reason I won't switch). Until that time arrives, I will be sticking with the boxed edition and so will require FSHost to join in with you guys (which I would like to do).
  12. They look awesome DudeX thanks for sharing. Also thanks to Raz and Chris for organising and hosting again. The only problem I have is I'm concentrating so hard on the formation that I'm knackered when I finish!! DudeX I'd be up for some co-op combat missions in the A-10C. Not flown it in anger for a while but a couple of hours re-fam will sort me out. What do other people reckon? Possibly set up a range where we can practice both weapon delivery singularly and also co-ordinate our attacks like we would on a real combat mission. eg steerpoint sharing, buddy lasing, possibly someone as an AFAC?
  13. Dipping into Turkey I see. I'll have a 208 Sqn Hawk please (assuming we can change into Reds Hawks at the end? Will be a different place to display!)
  14. Just thought. People who don't already have the Hawk installed will have to download and install the installer at the following link to get the Hawk in the 'Core Mods' folder in order for them to see me in the Hawk. This also applies to people who haven't installed the Hawk since updating to 1.2.15. When you install, make sure to steer the installer to your 'Eagle Dynamics\DCS World' folder, wherever that might be. http://www.veaosimulations.co.uk/dcs...ler_1.2.15.exe
  15. Just done a quick recce of the route. That river valley is great fun to fly through, looking forward to it tomorrow. Also, those that make it to Tbilisi will be able to watch me and Raz do our signature manoeuvre!
  16. Unsurprisingly I'll be there. Hawk it is for me. Raz - make sure you have gravity turned off for Zissou!
  17. Sorry guys, I'm going to have to give this a miss. Somethings come up at work.
  18. I remember that mission! Luckily for 8 I was posted on sentry so didn't suffer the mass grenade massacre. However, this meant that, unfortunately, I was still alive for HOAX's lead rain that blew me into a million tiny pieces!
  19. I can't wait for that list to come to fruition!! I'm liking all this interest aswell. What I reckon is I'll set up a training mission to see what everyone can do so that the proper missions we do aren't too easy or too hard. I've got some range targets so can set up a proper range and practice unguided bombing runs. We'll also need to practice AAR as this is present in most of the missions I have planned. In terms of when. Well, when are people free? I can do pretty much any night but would prefer weekends. I'll probably be on teamspeak every evening this week sorting out the missions so feel free to ask anything if you see me about.
  20. Hi Guys! I'd like to get into some proper DCS multiplayer missions so was wondering if anyone wants to participate. Would ideally want 4+ to make the mission worthwile (ie have enough stores to kill everything). You would need to be reasonably competent in your chosen aircraft so that people can be talked onto targets easily and everything can flow. Let me know if you're up for it and we can arrange a night. Sometime this bank holiday would be good Cheers
  21. Ye you definitely need a joystick for any dcs game. HOTAS will help but isn't needed for the Huey
  22. Was bored for an hour so decided to practice doing some autorotations in the Huey. For people who aren't sure what this means, basically it is an engine failure in a helicopter and you use the rate of descent to keep the rotors turning and therefore generating a bit of lift to cushion the landing. Recorded a video of the best one and wanted to show you guys. For all you competent ARMA pilots, I seriously recommend getting this sim as it will completely change your experience flying helicopters (and will make it much easier to fly in ARMA).
  23. Not yet. They're keeping it pretty close to their chests. Although this has turned up with flyable Spit, 109 and p-47 along with the mustang and 190 already in dcs. Plus a new map of Normandy. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/508681281/dcs-wwii-europe-1944 Looks interesting. Although I would like a DCS standard fast jet soon.
