  1. I know that, but I think I can recall the other server being hosted by the same host as EU 1. Wouldn't it be better to remove EU 2 and add a few more slots to EU 1 instead?
  2. Well, to be honest the title should be pretty self-explanatory, but for those who need a better explanation, I will... ahem... explain. I've often found myself camping the server list while spamming the enter button in hopes of finally taking a slot on your Invade and Annex server. Let's face it, the AhoyWorld server is fairly popular, and there seem to be more slots in the class selection menu than there are of total player slots available on the server. As such, I feel inclined to suggest that you increase the server capacity from 45 players to 60 players, so that I won't have to spam the join button while watching the server list. Until your server gets even more popular, at which point I will suggest that you increase the server capacity even further, but we'll burn that bridge when we get there.
  3. As was stated before, anything that can be abused will be. However it seems like you've also removed mortars again which is a big shame because of how useful they were in a situation where there was too much infantry at a side objective to be able to deal with. If you're not going to add the artillery vehicles, you could at least give us the mortars back.
  4. You could perhaps only add the M4 Scorcher. The M4 Scorcher does take a long time to reload in between every shell fired, unlike the M5 Snadstorm which can send a barrage of 12 missiles between every time you resupply.. If you add the M4 Scorcher as a side mission reward, I doubt it'll be worse than the A-164 Wipeout or the Mi-48 Kajman/AH-64 Blackfoot.
  5. I wasm't aware of it being abused that much, but if it's not wanted, I guess we can live without it.
  6. It does have other uses as well, like flushing out enemies at side missions, leveling houses containing heavy infantry presence (where clearing it out using infantry would be a huge risk). The M4 is also capable of using laser-guided shells and mine clusters, which could be useful for accurate target-shelling or defending an area from an enemy attack. Of course, wether or not artillery would be a suitable option depends on the scenario. In the one I described in the post above, it might just do the trick. Wether or not you'd want to use artillery would be up to the players with boots in the main ao to decide. I'm just saying that it could be useful to have it around if it would be needed. Besides, I didn't only mention tanks, I also mentioned heavy enemy presence.
  7. Your squad is exchanging fire with what seems to be an entire platoon when suddenly, an enemy Varsuk comes rolling! You don't have any AT because the AT troops are all hanging around the base to customize their class, you're out of mines, the Mohawk can't airlift vehicles because of a stupid bug and you can't escape. You're surrounded. This is a situation in which you would be out of options in the current version. However, if you had some artillery at the base, this would be piece of cake (and a piece of danger close and a chance of a lot of soldiers ending up as friendly-fire statistics, but still!). Being capable of firing across the ENTIRE ISLAND of Altis, the M5 Sandstorm and M4 Scorcher would be valuable assets for pinned-down forces on the server. Granted that the gunner knows how to use the artillery computer and the poor suckers at the front-line know how to co-ordinate an attack, artillery vehicles would easily be able to turn the tide of any battle without even having to leave the base. 8. I read about the International humanitarian law online (Wikipedia FTW), and I found out that while it's legal to wear enemy uniforms, it's not legal to fight while wearing them. Doesn't this mean that in the technical sense, you can enter and leave an enemy base, as long as you don't directly confront any troops?
  9. Oh, that's a shame. Would be fun if the AW team could script it and perhaps even add a few side missions about infiltration.
  10. This is just an idea I had. I've noticed that you are able to use the virtual ammobox to gear up so that you'll look exactly like a CSAT/AAF soldier. So it got me thinking, is it possible to infiltrate the enemy by dressing up like that, granted you stay away from any friendlies wearing friendly uniforms and hold your fire, or do the ai's automatically detect hostiles wether you're wearing the same uniforms as them or not? Thanks in advance.

    Hai all

So where do I start? (I already know this and I decided to write it just to make my thread seem interesting). Well I can tell you about me and my mind-blowing (gunwise) hobbies! My name is Denis and I am a 17 year-old Polish-Norwegian gamer/guitar player/vocalist that moved from console-gaming to pc-gaming earlier this year (I still play on console, though). I did play a few sessions on your server before with the username "DPletion", though I decided not to use it anymore because it didn't exactly sound like the name of someone going to war (I still use it as my Steam username). As such, I am now using my real-life name, minus the full last name. As I've only played for a few months, you could call me a noob, though I am quick to learn from both others and from my own experiences/mistakes. I'm not much into sport, though my favorite sports are boxing and volleyball (I am currently looking into starting in a boxing club). My favourite music genre is rock, and just about every sub-genre that comes with it, though there are some I prefer over others. I like comedy and action films/series as well. I think that's about it. Feel free to post! (Or ignore this thread completely).
