  1. Hopefully they've made it a bit easier to use, I never found the previous versions to be very useful for installing or maintaining mods.  It's so much easier to just unzip them to the appropriate directory, but I'll check it out to see whats changed.

  2. This has already been suggested, but is a great idea none the less.  I have actually already seen this done on the I&A server that JTF2 runs, it was a lot of fun the one time I played when they had it enabled.  The mission had a completely different feel to it, and the two Opfor "commanders" did an excellent job of booby trapping the AO prior to our arrival.

  3. I'm also a huge fan of Logitech, but when it comes to flight sticks I'd recommend the Saitex x52 or x65.  However, they are a bit more than your price range.  I managed to pick up my x52 new off of Craigslist for $75 USD, they retail for $100-$130.

Logitech needs to step there game up with their newer G-Series peripherals and develop a proper HOTAS.

  4. After playing for a while I find things can be repetitive and people always almost outsmart the AI.

So I propose an option to let a few players be on the enemy team with random spawn the other AI. One of these players on Opfor would then have a high command option so that they could possibly outsmart the players on Blufor.

There would be an option to allow a small amount of players on the enemy side like 1-3 players. If that option was selected, then you would have the option to give one of the players partial or full high command ranging from total control to just a few units.

I played on the JTF2 I&A server, which uses a modified version of AW's mission, that had this implemented the other night and it was AWESOME!!!   The two OPFor players where setting up ambushes, mine traps, etc in the AO and it really forced us to work together.   What made it really intense though was the fact that JTF2 had their server limited to first-person only.  I'd love to see AW do some "hard-core" mil-sim like this on a weekend sometime.

  5. I have some Saitek pedals, can't adjust the tension though. It's yours for £20 + P&P

I appreciate the offer, but I live in Murica!, and the shipping alone would be a bit more than I am willing to spend atm.  Besides, I have my heart set on the Combat Rudder Pedals,  thanks though.

  6. I have a Saitek x52 and I love it, I can still fly better with my kb/mouse, but I'm also still getting use to the x52.  I'm patiently waiting to find a good deal on some flight pedals on Craigslist.

Like razgriz33 said, start basic, get use to your new flight stick, then expand.  If you start out with a HOTAS style flight system w/ rudder pedals and a Track IR your going to be lost.

I'd also recommend a Logitech or Xbox USB controller as a good alternative.

  7. I can't wait to see what you have planed for v3 Rarek.

I'd love to see some dynamic content.  For instance, when certain towns/objectives are taken they can be converted into a FOB or have small fire base set up nearby.  I think this would be a great way to make the use of ground vehicles more common since it would put them closer to the front lines in that area.  You could limit this to 1 FOB within a 10 km radius, and no more than 3 FOBs total in addition to the centralized airbase..

Another idea I had was to start the mission out down in the south eastern airfield with limited assets.  Once the main airfield is taken more ground/air assets become available.

    Keep up the good work!

  8. I've played on the I&A server several times and really enjoy it.  It's alot like the TAW Domination missions from ArmA 2.  I hope to get a chance to play with you all more often.  I'd also like to see a Wasteland server hosted by your community!

    About Me:

I'm 32, married, have an 18-mo old boy and expecting another in May 2014.  I've been playing the ArmA series since the original Operation Flashpoint days.  I also play Planetside 2, GRO, Battlefield 3, and Minecraft.  I currently work about 60 hours a week so I generally play on Saturday/Sunday evening.  I'm a mediocre pilot, but getting better every day, so if you consider yourself an ACE pilot and want to take me under your wing please do so!

I'm not sure if I'm ready to wear the [AW] tag just yet, but it's definitely been a blast playing on your servers!

I'm also an aspiring streamer, but due to my current time constraints and work schedule I haven't had a lot of extra time and energy to commit towards developing my Twitch channel.
