The best game I've ever had on a public server, a coordinated chopper insertion to three different LZ.

Orders were given by random players who decided to take the lead. And it worked, it's Arma magic.

We flew with Wagner theme broadcasted through side chat. It was epic!  B)

    EU #2 CO-OP

I clearly don't regret my donation to keep the server running.

    Lonestar out!

  2. That is a very interesting suggestion.

If we look at the terrain size comparison here, we can see that Altis is bigger than Takistan and Chernarus.

Arma 2's Domination on which I&A is based, didn't take into consideration the big terrain size and always used the same AO/side random generation.

Maybe I&A 3 could take advantage of the new playground in a better and more interesting way for the players to enjoy the whole battlefield without loss of momentum.

  3. Script errors are not error messages per se, not all of them are critical.

They don't necessarily mean that something is broken, most of the time it's just a misuse of the scripting command.

The Arma engine was expecting a certain value (to put it simply) and didn't find it.

Moreover, Arma devs are constantly pushing changes to functions in the dev branch. It can generate more errors.

Your bug report doesn't state if the error is due to the addon (sthud, cba) or the mission.

Have you tried without addons and got the same errors popping up?

The mission-maker is only interested in the errors related to his scripts, bug reports re addons should be filed elsewhere.

For example the addon threads on the official forum, because only the addon-makers can fix them.

  4. Ahoy, Mateys!

I just thought I'd drop by and say hi to the AhoyWorld community. I've been enjoying myself playing on the Arma 3 servers lately with Stuffedsheep, Zissou and the gang. You have all been very welcoming, but maybe that's because I didnt understand all of your jokes.  :)

I'm a 26 year-old French player of the Arma series since 2009, I used the run my own team and I'm pretty much seasoned although not very skilled. I'm glad I found a strong community relying on a core staff which is AFAIK really involved in mission-making and improving players' game experience.

You'll find me on public servers mostly, especially the PvP although it needs a kickstarter IMHO. I'd also enjoy gaming nights as long as they don't start too late on week-ends. Yesterday night start time was perfect. Basically I'm here to have fun with friendly players that share the same spirit, whether it's casual gaming or tactical.

    See you on the battlefield!
