can you just confirm (If you can ) that the problem is within the game and not something i have done ,

as i have re-mapped a lot of my keys etc.

 

PS  i have tried this with default settings and still cant get it to work

How can i now accept squad invites ?

 

When invited by player it shows (N/A ) there is no key showing.

I found a couple  "@ ETAH  PLATEAU "  ( Winter ) Arctic

 

                           "  @FAFFINDALE  "     open moorland  real   place  Yorkshire  UK

 

There was a third  , which was one of several ( test areas )  by one guy but was 122k   x   122k which was a little to big but surface texture was good.

 

There were a few more but they were mountainous areas which is not what i was 

looking for.

 

The ones that i did find seemed to be from the earlier  Arma 2 era . but.

 sorted for now

Does anyone know of any blank terrain templates ?  ( no houses or structures )

 

Suitable for editing from scratch.

 

I have one :-  " Crowes desert island " but it is flat and has poor texture.

I recently downloaded a further two (game changing ) mods for the  IRON FRONT in ArmA3 Conversion.

 

IFA3WARMOD  (Gunter  Severloh )

 

@GEIST     all in one textures pack

 

They are comprehensive addons to both how the game is played and looks

It is also included within the " VIRTUAL ARSENAL "

 

They are excellent

 

 

 

If you like this game they are a must have.

Yes i am also an ARMA player but i feel ( personal view ) the futuristic route would not be for me ,( gaming world is awash with them ) neither would  Battalion 1944 as you say.  its likely to be "arcade style ".

 

But the general swing (again personal view ) towards  WW2 European theater of combat for me would be a welcome change.

 

Arma as in (real life ) uses all the modern assets at its disposal but it is increasingly in need of less " boots on the ground" to achieve its objectives.

 

More death from afar will not make for good game play.  It doesn't now.

 

It is the Iron Front 1944  in Arma3  that interests me most and has the potential to be the best out there.

As i am increasingly ( as infantryman ) finding myself with less to do due to the ever increasing use ( in game ) of high tech assets going back to WW 2 sounds good to me.

 

And as Arma seems to be heading down the " futuristic  game play " route  the sooner the better.

 

Less gadgets  =  more immersive / Squad  and close quarters game play.

 

Lets hope this leaning towards 1944 gives the devs of IRON FRONT IN ARMA some encouragement .

As i purchased Iron Front ( £5 ) last year  in Steam sale i re-installed it as the vid below

 

 

 

Then downloaded the  Steam Workshop mission " Colleville  "

played by the lad in link below.

 

 

 

I have to say it was it is for me the best looking WW2 around at the moment .

 

I hope this game can be saved , it has a lot of potential when run in ArmA.

 

I would be very interested in playing this should Devs ever get it up and running.

yep fixed,

 

 just by following above " hotfix "

 

but it was a while ago.

 

Its been okay since.

 

Just try reinstall mod  or try rolling back the version

The last few days i have been unable to accept squad invites .

 

I have been informed that it is "U" key   /  scroll .

 

however this does nothing for me.  

 

It did work fine when it was  "T " key 

 

Is there a way to put this right

i currently run the earlier version as when i run current (without fix ) i get (kicked ) and a lot of pbo error file messages.

unable to join game with the @sthud mod (extended Event Handler missing error )

 

Thus making squad play almost impossible.

 

Can someone confirm ;-

 

Which version of @cba i should be running 

 

Do i need the recent  RC6  "Hotfix "
