I take you've recently started using the shacktac hud? 

Vanilla maps don't do that, if you use shacktac they will.  And yes, it's intentional.

 

Ok thanks. Although I need to find out what else shacktac does, need to study the armaholic thread. I thought it was because I had been messing with the game colour settings, which I would now like to return to basic but don’t know how. Ha ha.

 

Can I ask one other thing? Pressing U brings up the grouped and Un grouped players, but I am not able to scroll up and request to join, is that my end or is there another way to request to join a group?

I&A 3.3.7_10 is live on our public servers, the changelog is as follows;

 

- [Added] DLC Tanks to side rewards pool

Might be a known BattleEye issue. If that is the problem then the only solve is to wait until the server does a full restart.

So I had a few goes on over the last few nights and though I am loathe to say this... a few of the weapons don't appear to be restricted; SPAR 17 and AK12 spring to mind. Been using the SPAR 17 with a medic, I'm assuming this isn't meant to be? (I love this gun soo much though)

Yes the current arsenal restrictions are incomplete (for Tanks DLC content), incorrect and inconsistent.

 

All launchers should be restricted to AT slots only.

The SPAR-17 is a DMR and therefore belongs to marksman slots exclusively.

The MX is NATO's standard issue service rifle and should subsequently also be available to medics.

Can i just point out that the following units, by default, spawn with an MXC (carbine version of the MX) and not with an MX: Explosive Specialist, Missile Specialist (AT), Missile Specialist (AA), Engineer, Crewman, Officer, Recon Paramedic, Gunner (HMG), Gunner (GMG), Gunner (Mk6), Asst. Gunner (HMG/GMG), Asst. Gunner (Mk6), Mine Specialist, Helicopter Crew.
The following units spawn without the MX platform all together: Helicopter Pilot(Vermin SMG .45 ACP), Pilot (Vermin SMG .45 ACP) & Sniper(M320 LRR .408)

 

Note that not all the roles not mentioned spawn with only MX rifles.  Some roles spawn with MX SW or the MXM.

I think all launchers except the RPG-7 should be AT only. It's a very pick up and point sort of weapon; used by very unskilled fighters worldwide. AK 47 should be available to anyone as well (same reason; not that I can imagine anyone picking that over a rifle with optics).

 

As much as I dont want too, I agree with Stan on the MX/MXC as well.

 

Wondering if Marksmen are restricted to the marksman versions of weapons? I mean picking an MX when you can have MXM or any of the 7.62's seems silly.
