Hello everyone,

 

Samcarne12 will be hosting a Zeus defense mission on EU#3 coming Saturday evening, mission will take approximately take an hour and will consist of 30 OPFOR defending a bridge from Zeus; BLUFOR Infantry and Vehicles.

 

There will be no sign-up, but it's always nice to just post a comment and let us know you can attend.

Hi all, as I'm sure you've realised I'm pretty new to mission making - this being my first mission - and it'd be great if anyone attending could give feedback. Also I would love it if we could get as many people on as possible to test the mission to its full capacity. Thanks guys

Made completly from scratch. I've been wanting to start mission building for a while and this has been in progress for weeks due to my own laziness. If this is a success I'd love to create more missions in the future.

 

As for testing I've made sure all of the the triggers and tasks are working, apart from that all the Ai controls are up to Zeus obviously so it was pretty simple. I've also tested it with TADST and it seems okay for me.

That's exactly what I was aiming for when I was building the mission. So often I see missions which are too long and complex to be completed in the time they are allocated. That and people start to get bored.

Also guys just to mention there are NO RESPAWNS. Plus because there is no sign up key positions such as Zeus and Command will be first come first serve.

i due sugest that you preselect a zeus player before the mission and then bref him on your own on what type of units/behaviour that is apropriate for the mission. wen i hosted op stronghold i was wery strict how zeus was to precide with the mission and what stages we where gone have. also if you are unsure abaut who is good at zeusing i would sugeste amentes or copey (or your prefered mod /spartan) to zeuse.

Something you can do also, is take Zeus for yourself. This might sound selfish, but you know best how your scenario is intended to be and you get some more experience with Zeus in general. It is a good skill to have and one that gives ample opportunity to laugh at someone's stupidity (The magic missile post from Liru :) )

Hi all, I'd like to start by saying thanks to all that attended (Even if your time was short) and thanks to Ryko for fixing the issues with the mission file. After the mission I heard some great feedback and I got the general gist that everyone enjoyed themselves which was good to hear. Several things that stood out after talking to some of you guys were:

  • Respawns SHOULD be enabled
  • More variety in scopes and loadouts
  • Use the damn template!!
  • Different location for defense

All in all I'm pretty happy with how the mission carried out and I look forward to creating more missions in the future.
