A bit more messy than Dai-San's setup, but it works for me until I can get moved around a bit, changed the keyboard from the razor chroma to a corsair k95 as the chroma's plastic keys are crumbling, also had to replace the mouse with a logitech g502 as my g9x was accidentaly damaged in a fit of rage and frustration, and I'm trying out the rhino x55 hotas to see if its and better than  the x52pro.

RAM:          16GB DDR3 HyperX Fury

MOBA:        MSI Z97 Gaming 5

GPU:          GTX 660 2GB   (weakest point of my rig imo, I have plans for better gpu in future)

HDD:          Seagate 1TB

Monitor:      2 x 24' LG IPS fullhd screen

Mouse:       Razer DeathAdder Chroma

I also recently bought Thrustmaster T-flight HOTAS X but I haven't had time to set it up properly and play with it.

I would post a pic but it's really really messy on my desk right now and I am too lazy to clean it up :P

Yes poor quality, not a heck of a lot of lighting on my desk + a cheap phone with a horrible camera.

Intel core I5 5200U @2.2GHz

8GB DDR3 RAM

NVIDIA GeForce 940M with 4GB VRAM

1TB of HDD

Generic PnP Monitor, 1366x768@60Hz, 15 inch

Windows 10

It's not fancy but it gets the job done (barley, but it does it).

Not going to post pictures as it's not a good looking hidden tower, however my actual visible setup (Keyboard, Mouse, Monitor) is a clean looking white themed setup. with RGB Keyboard and Mouse with all LEDs set to white, and a RGB Led strip behind my desk also set to white.

Case: Random cheap case which has good cooling
CPU: Intel i7 4790k OCed to 4.6ghz
Mobo: Cheap Gigabyte motherboard.
Memory: 8gb DDR3 1600mhz (Hoping to upgrade soon)
GPU: EVGA nVidia GTX 980ti SC
SSD: 256gb WD SSD
HDD: 2tb WD HDD
Montiors: iiyama G-Master GB2788HS 27" 144hz 1080p. (A cheaper brand but a very good monitor)
Headset: Corsair Void Surround Hybrid (I use it in stereo not surround though as the surround makes voices sound strange)
Keyboard: Razer Blackwidow Chroma

Mouse: Corsair Sabre RGB

I'm picking up a GTX 1070 in a couple days, but here's my current rig:

CPU:  Core i5 4440

RAM: 8GB

GPU: R9 280x 3GB

HDD: Corsair 500GB SSD & 1TB WD Blue HDD

Decided to go for a mini-itx for this build, never again...

Also for interest, the "Yet Another Arma Benchmark" I get 28 FPS when set to Ultra video settings and standard view settings (res = 1080p).

Just got my hands on these puppies... (rudder / anti-torque pedals under the desk)

You'll catch me on EU1 or EU2, in one of two states:

  • Flying like a sensible person in the advanced flight model; or
  • Flying like an epileptic bat in the standard flight model

unnamed.thumb.jpg.ad38ca27eb5feb21d5abf17b05cecc72.jpg

Apologies to anybody with OCD for the cables.

PC specs:

  • CPU - AMD FX4350 [email protected], [email protected] (had to get watercooling for this :P)
  • Mobo - old piece of crap (updating this soon, for one with an Intel socket)
  • RAM - 32GB DDR4 HyperX Fury
  • GPU - GTX 1070 6GB (with core & memory OC'ed via aftermarket software)
  • A 250GB SSD, 3TB main HDD and of course all the Razer fanboy accessories...

Superb setup there. How much for those flight controls?

Got them off Amazon a few days ago, £165 / ~$205 for the package (more expensive if you buy them individually).

They're pretty solid, lots of action buttons - a slightly cheaper alternative to the high-end Saitek stuff.

No wonder your videos sound so crisp and no irritating keyboard tapping. Time to convince my Chief Financial Officer to approve of my proposal :hmmm-min:

I use it for lean as infantry, so much easier than q and e, and also for accelerate and brake in vehicles, add in track IR and you free up a lot of button presses. Also use them for piloting but I aint that good a pilot; I can get from A to B in one piece, land in a safe LZ, and dodge incoming fire if needs be, I just prefer to be boots on the ground and avoid being b*tched at for being a sucky pilot.

I use Xpadder for heli control, not infantry, well I use it for running around as a pilot but for combat I need KB/M.

Actually used to have a makeshift shield over my KB and a big sort of muffler round my mic to drown out the KB sounds, worked well but was a pain, now I just live with any KB sounds, but the Apex is membrane and helps a lot, and the mouse is way behind the mics picup area overall.

CFO has agreed to my proposal of the said item.

I see that it is cardioid microphone. Need to have this right in my face so that KB/M are behind its audio pickup range.

Edit: I am tired to record audio solely on my Logitech G430.
