Dear Members,

Edited post:

The community has asked and we have listened

We will trial run the other games (create your own) channel as "Create your own channel"

This is on the understanding that we name our channels nicely, no probing into grey areas, you don't want to waste admin time by them having to research whatever a papa frankau is or if that avatar is hitler or not. keep it simple for us and simple and friendly for you. and no chuck itty bitty titty is not acceptable  ;)

Play nicely and we'll keep it   ;)

original post:

We would kindly ask that you name the channel you create to match the game you are playing.

Failure to do so will result in your channel being deleted, further persistence may lead you down the path of the disciplinary garden.

On behalf of the staff: we appreciate your cooperation.

For the like of me, mini, johnson, hybrid and the like who switch games fairly often that could be annoying.

Also, how will that rule be enforced if the people in that channel don't have any staff members on steam? That's a serious question btw, not a snide remark. Sometimes it can be hard to tell with me

Just in between the decision for this social stuff, perhaps it would be nice if those in small cliques actually socialised with the rest of the community.

I agree on this, but there is slight problem with unlocking a channel and letting everyone flow in to socialise it "could" get overwhelmed by people last year sometime EU3 was down or perhaps battleye was blocking a mod like it did recently can't remember so about 4-5 of us went onto EU1 created a sub channel, then we had about 5 more join us it was pretty damn fun however became really overwhelming with everyone screaming to get words in every second and thus we locked the channel.

In instances like this, if you were actually playing EU1, you can lock your channel if you guys had a squad running, but be polite/fair if anyone wants to join your squad and TS channel, if you require members, please do allow them.

But please, don`t use locked channels to hide from people. I know it`s used to keep the trolls out, but the staff numbers have increased, so there should be one mod/admin present at all times ready to sort them out.

Well noone was a troll most of the people that where there played EU3 so I knew them just 10 people in a channel trying to get there words in.

I'm confused what you mean pancake? How will it be enforced if someone doesn't have staff on steam? Wut?

Rephrase it for me :P

Some mook makes a channel for Football manager 2015, some friends of his join, they then go onto battlefield 3 or something. They're then no longer playing the game the channel is named after, but short of a member of staff hopping down or having one of the mooks on steam there is no way to know if they are playing what the channel says they are.

How will situations such as this be handled?

Sub-channel creator can edit the name of the channel. Alternative is to create another channel with the right name. It isn't so much of an effort.

But... Yes, it can be forgotten sometimes.
