Arma3 AI + Trees and cover

This video is not legit. At 1:48 the blufor soldier goes prone, this is because he has detected an enemy present in the area. So he noticed the opfor soldier through the tree. Even though he did not engage him, he knows there is one there.


The bushes however do work. they cover you completely, as demonstrated in the video. If the AI is engaging a target that runs into a bush for cover, they will keep shooting the path the target would have walked based on speed and direction from the point visibility was lost.


But to properly test all this, they should place down a row of trees that obstruct complete visibility, so they should make a wall out of trees. Then retry this if the other AI is behind a wall of trees, lets say 2 meters wide, then you eliminate the chance of them "looking around" the tree.
