IA causes segfault

Hello all,

 

I've just spent the better part of a few days trying to figure this out to no avail. It seems every mission works fine, except for IA Altis, IA Stratis works, but whenever I try to load into IA Altis my client gets stuck on receiving mission files 0% and server crashes with a segfualt.

Please let me know how I can fix this because I really want to be zeus in an IA Altis xD

 

EDIT:

I have tried both the latest version: 2.82D and the previous version: 2.79E both fail for me.

after that last log line, it hangs for ~10-15 seconds, then segfaults.

Verify your game integrity through Steam (in Library, right click on A3, Properties, Local files and click on Verify the integrity of the game).

 

Looks like there could be some mismatched objects/files in your pbos.

Hi,

If only I&A Altis is not working :

1 - check permission file

2 - reload the mission from the website - may be it is corrupted.

may be it helps

made sure everything has same permissions, even tried setting everything to 777 and still nothing.

re downloaded a few times as well

I know this thread is about 5 months inactive, however....

 

I too am having the exact same issue described here(with co60_AW_Invade_Annex_2_83I.Altis), I have been running co30_AW_Invade_Annex_2_83I-S.Stratis for about a week. Excellent job on the mission! This is the first time i have fiddled with Arma in Linux and so far the SSD Lnux VPS that I am using seems to run Arma 3 Stratis AW I&A really well :)


Would love to also host an Altis I&A from AhoyWorld :)

This guy mentioned that it has to do with the amount of memory, I can confirm, this is the case for me as well. 


I was running this on a Ubuntu VPS that was only 1GB memory, bumped it up to 2GB and Altis I&A fired right up and i connected no problem!
