A few Ideas for the box

Hi, I've been playing I&A3 for a while and had a few suggestions I would like to share,

 

  • Some kind of teleport when too few players are online: There have been many times I logged in when server had too few players online (1-3), because I really enjoy the night ops; But often there are no pilots present and the AO is way too far which gets kind of boring to ride all the way (and die ^_^ ). It might be a good idea if we had some kind of teleport system (I've seen paradropping in some servers) or a camp (like a checkpoint) that make it more interesting to participate at the night-times.

 

  • Firing Range: Someplace we can try new weapons and not get warnings; currently, I select a weapon, logout and test it in the editor and repeat the whole thing. Maybe inside the safe-zone or even a new FOB (just for testing purposes).

 

  • More civilians and their vehicles: This might seem stupid but might be fun to see more civilians walking around in AO, and also maybe a few ordinary cars we can use both as a cover and a transport if air-transport is not possible at the time (Happens once in a while). Makes it more realistic.

 

  • A little CAS: I know I&A is infantry oriented, but the current Orca is pretty much useless for gun-runs. Maybe if The Black wasp had one or two AG missiles that would make it more interesting (Due to Black wasp’s long servicing time, pilots won't be able to simply waste their missiles, I guess).

 

Some of the ideas might be duplicate as I haven't read other posts, my apologies.

You will see people commiting war crimes all day (they already kill everything that moves and has heat signature on the side mission that has Civilians that give intel)

You can get those as rewards from Side Missions or by capturing Molos Airfield, you get one CAS Jet (Wasp/Warthog) with one Hour respawn timer.

The war crimes, what if there is some sort of penalty? I don't think there is much that can done about it to be honest. This might actually force them to PID their targets first.

Yeah you are right, Molos Airfield does have the Warthog, but I don't regularly see it among the FOBs; I was thinking of something more at hand.

EU1 is a very casual server, what kind of penalty do you suggest for killing civilians? 

 

There's currently 2 sidemissions with civilians, 1 will fail if you kill more than 1/4 of the civilians, on the other one you loose the ability to gain intel you kill civilians, making your own life more difficult.

Most Players on EU1 don't PID and accidental TKs/Friendly Fire is regularly seen.

As said there are side missions. Also you have UAV with GBUs for CAS and Pilots job should mainly be transport.

Aside from the temptation to shoot civvies, my concern would also be impact on server performance having “unnecessary” ambience around. 
 

Having CAS assets easily available could lead to the abuse of said assets. The assets available are done in such a a way to ensure balance and fun for all players. Also, there is always the UAV slot and mortars should something heavier be required. Though, with decent AA and AT missile specialists, any threat can be taken out as well.

We need a 3 strike system that teleports you to military prison, bit like the TK script 😝
