New to this multiplayer server, where do I start?

Hello, I am new to multi-player servers. I have played a decent amount of serious coop with friends and all to understand the game. From what I understand, correct me if I'm wrong, the EU#3 is the enhanced server which is more for realism, this is the server I want to get into. Where would/should I start. Thanks 

 

(My apologies if there is already a forum post I was meant to read which helps me with this)*

(I have now also realised that the enhanced server is down until the release of I&A4, any help from this topic is still helpful)

The Server (EU3/AWE) is up again since a few months and we`re running a version of Liberation on it.
