Addition to my taro inf transport pod thing: might be of interest to make entering those inf. pods trigger a popup that informs the occupant that the vehicle chat cant be seen by the pilot and direct chat has to be used to communicate with the pilot. That would make it easier for the pilot and possibly avoid confusion tho that is just optional.

Here are some things for the woodland USMC Some gear for the woodland USMC has the wrong camo Folded MP7 for pistolslot: i requested that one b4 but it appears it was forgotten but i would like to see it in the arsenal since it makes it easier to save and load loadouts with the MP7 in the pistolslot. Currently we have to load a normal MP7, fold it and then go in the arsenal to load a loadout with a folded MP7 just a small QoL thing. Big Radio backpack: It would be nice to have a Radiopack with more item space. We only have the relatively small versions atm. M249 100Rnd Magazines: if you want to take some extra ammo but a full 200rnder is to much or more importantly if you want 5.56 AP ammo

Another thing i just thought about while looking at the factory setup screen is that it would be helpfull if the name of factories on the left change color depending on what they are producing (white = nothing, Green = supplies, Yellow = fuel and red = ammo) that way you can see at a glance how many factories are on what resource and you dont have to select each one and check the product

Multiple people tried to and didnt get an option 2x QoL Suggestion regarding the View distance options in the AW Mod: 1. Make it so that you "confirm" the desired view distance with a button press instead of auto updating constantly to prevent it just setting itself to 500m if you type in a numberthat is less than 500. If you for example start typing 2-0-0-0 it will see 2m is less than 500m and autoset itself to that and you have to fight it to get the distance you want. My idea would be either you press enter to confirm the distance or there is a button in the menu itself. 2. Not sure if that is possible but split the air view distance into plane and chopper view distance since in general you dont need the kind of distance in a transport chopper that you use on a CAS plane and that way you dont have to change it every time you switch between the two.

  13. One of the underused features on the I&A3 are the supply crates you can load into your chopper at mainbase. While they have a wider range of supplies in them than i expected some of the ammotypes are not represented (AK ammo or missiles like the vorona) and in general there is not enough of some ammotypes to adequatly supply a bigger group of people. I understand that we have a empty supplybox at the vehicle liftzone at mainbase which we can fill with the help of steve senior and bring to the battlefield. However the fact that you can only slingload it makes it quite a i would call it clumsy method of supply as you have to content with the occasional desync ripping the crate off your chopper and having to fly rather high for the box to not get destroyed hitting the ground. We already have the loadable crate from steve senior so i would ask if we could get the ability to load in that customfilled ammobox into the aircraft either in a similar manner as the standard steven senior crates or have them attach in the cargobox of larger aircraft which have a cargobay like the huron, mohawk, xian and possibly the vehicle transport blackfish.
  14. We got News that the Livonian Defense Force has offered to ship us some their Zamak Utility Trucks for the Wareffort against CSAT and AAF on Altis. I would like put forth the Idea to add LDF Zamaks to mainbase. The Zamak while identical in terms of function to the Hemtt is airliftable by Blackfish in all of its versions which would make it easier for Vortex to provide the guys in the field with better access to logistic support. To counter the "LDF is independent" argument Livonia is a official NATO member and as far as i understand it its only classified as a independent because of the DLCs storyline (which is apparently not even lore canon?).

Reading through the arma wiki i found out that you can give the mk6 mortar IR and Laser guided shells. so i would put forth the Idea to add the laserguided Shells to the mk6 mortar I&A3/4. it would give the FSG gunner opportunity to attack a wider range of targets if the caller has a laserdesignator with him (for example precision strikes on stationary or slow moving vehicles). The one thing im not sure is if it can even be implemented with mortars coming from the arsenal.

A bit late but here is some additional stuff about my points and while perhaps not more reason to add some things i wanted to go into a tiny bit more detail on them since some points are almost like "its different add it" without going to much into detail why i want them. They were removed from the arsenal because they are CSAT equipment and we're fighting CSAT. I'm well aware that there's several other pieces of CSAT equipment in the arsenal, I'm not particularly happy about that. Now I'm not saying I won't add them but it needs some more convincing, just having different zoom levels doesn't justify it for me. I cant argue that they are CSAT equipment and i can understand that some people just dont like CSAT gear available or people just want to prevent teamkills by reducing the chances of players looking like enemy however i feel that ship has already sailed with examples like the Avenger series of Helmet (which while not CSAT as Russian isnt part of CSAT are quite similar to them in appearance) and CSAT colored version of a weapons and vehicles available to the playerbase and adding 2 bino wont make much of difference. Additionaly i would argue the chances of somebody proceeding to TK another player just because that person has a hex/green hex laser designator are quite low espescially since that person has to have his Binos out at that moment. Now while i cant give more reasons to add them as the only real difference between them not counting outside looks is the zoomlevel and how the scope looks when using it however i can at least go into a bit more detail why id want to use them over the NATO ones. As stated in my original post the NATO laser has a zoomrange of 5x to 25x and the CSAT laser 1x to 20x, and on first glance one could ask why you wanted to loose that extra zoom the NATO laser provides, however in most situations one does not need that zoom since its a minimal difference between them. The minimum zoom however is another story entirely as that zoom would provide one with a far greater field of view compared to the NATO laser, making observation of the battlefield far easier. As I said, not particularly happy about those CSAT weapons. But while working on Liberation I've messed with their arsenal restrictions a bit and think I can make the arsenal whitelist work so you can't take them out of the arsenal but can take them off of the ground. I make no promises though. I mean the "Titan Compact (Olive)" in terms of gameplay is exactly the same as all the other titan compacts making that request solely about looking good compared to my other points but then again there is no real reason not to add it. Regarding the CSAT colored launchers if you manage to make it that we can pick up enemy launchers and not load them in in the arsenal thats all i asked since on my end i tend to scavenge a RPG-42 if i run out of Titan ammo (and i dont find a enemy heavy AT CSAT) but having the option to switch back to the Titan by picking up a enemy one later would be great. The EOD vests are already in the arsenal for explosive specialists and maybe the engineer as well, can't remember. As i understand it the reason the EOD vests are only available to EOD/Explosives specialists is because the name implies exclusivity to EOD type personel. However all infantry classes have access the "Carrier GL Rig" and the "GA Carrier GL Rig", which not only have the same Armorprotection as the EOD Vests and imply by theyre name that they are exclusive to grenadiers but also going by the design of the EOD Vest is itself a striped down (and a bit worn out looking) version of the "GA Carrier GL Rig (Olive)" which as mentioned is available to all classes so I would ask that they too are made available to all infantry classes. Again, enemy equipment, I'm not saying I won't add them but them just looking nice isn't justifying it for me. Now going by your reply there i might have made my point a bit confusing to discern why i wish those 2 to be added. Before going to explanation of why i think they should be added, i want to bring up the point about it being enemy equipment. While it is true thoses Vests are primarily worn by AAF soldiers, the FIA a NATO backed Guerilla Faction as well as the British supported and CSAT hostile Altis Government Loyalist have access to those vests. Now on to the Reason id like to see those Vests added and it has less to do with looking good and more with the fact that similarly to the EOD Vests the "GA Carrier Lite" has the same Armorprotection as the "Carrier Lite" but a reduced loadcapacity and with that reduced overall weight. The "GA Carrier Rig" is the same as the "GA Carrier Lite" but at the expense of higher weight it has a plate at the groin area providing a bit more Protection in that area (please in mind that the "Modular Carrier GL Rig" is a slightly superior but DLC locked version of this Vest in terms of Stats) To summerize: the "GA Carrier Lite" lies between the "Tactical Vest (Police)"/"Gendarmerie vest" and the heavier "Carrier Lite" in terms of armor to weigh ratio giving the player more flexibity to customize his loadout, and while we already have a superior version of the "GA Carrier Rig" if it gets added it would give players without that DLC a option to avoid the DLC watermark. These will be in the next update: Which is nice and sorry i didnt see the post that requested those.
  17. Something i once saw on a Vanilla Arma 3 server was the ability to attach the tarupods to a Taru. The Pilot would first hook up the pod with the Taru and then via scrollwheel action the Chopper would reel in the Pod and attach it to the Taru. The Advantages would be that the Taru gets more uses since you can transition between slingloading and transporting people (currently the Liftingtaru's we can get from sidemissions are kinda pointless since you cant transport people and most things that need to be lifted can be done by the Huron). If the Ammo/repair/fuelpods are added as well it would make transporting these supportboxes more consistent since desync wouldn't yank them off the chopper half of the time. Disadvantages would be that since the transportpod and the lifting taru are different entities vehicle chat wouldnt work to communicate between pilot and passengers. Pilots could TK passengers easily by just dropping the pod midflight from height though on the mentioned server if the pod got detached in flight it would be deployed with a parachute. If this gets added i would also put forth the idea to replace the Guardian Taru with a normal lifting version, adding inf-transportpods to guardian and to add the vehiclesupply pods to mainbase or even replace the huron containers with them since the pods can also be lifted by the huron.

After playing I&A3 for a few weeks now ive compiled a small list of Items that i feel could be in I&A and to that end i submit this list for consideration: Laser Designator (Hex) and Laser Designator (Green Hex): Now b4 somebody says we already got the NATO ones, you are right however the CSAT lazors are different to the NATO versions in that they have 1x-20x zoom compared to the 5x-25x zoom of the NATO versions. Titan Compact Colors: We currently only have the Tropic and Sand Versions i would like have the Olive unlocked in the Arsenal and if possible the unblacklisting of the CSAT launchers so we can pick them up in the field which i feels should be possible since we already got many of the CSAT colored Weapons including the RPG-42 as well as the ability to pick up enemy hex-color backpacks (if possible the AA titan colors as well) Vests: EOD Vests: They are the same in terms of Protection as the Carrier GL Rig's and the GA Carrier GL Rig's however the EOD's have less load capacity but also a reduced weight which might prove usefull (ive found at least 1 of my loadouts that would benefit from it) GA Carrier Lite and GA Carrier Rig: now i understand the reason we dont have them is that they are only available in Digital which is AAF Camo however they would provide more options since they arent just stat clones of others vest like the CTRG rigs are clones of the normal Carrer lite and Carrier Rig Gendarmerie Vest and/or Tactical Vest (Police) now the Gendarmerie/Police Vests are a bit more contentious since they are kinda civilian Vests they however have increased Protection compared to the normal Tactical Vests without increasing the load which would give more Options to the player (you might not need more gear but would like a bit more Protection) now none of those items are essential Items to play I&A but in the end im a person that like to have as many options available as possible, so i hope some of those can be added and sorry if its a bit messy i wrote this at like 3am b4 going to bed.
  19. So here is an Idea i remember from the arma 2 ACE server i used to play on alot. Im not entirely sure if it is a ACE2 feature, a additional mod or a script but on that server if you had a chemlight or a IR strobe on your person you could attach it to yourself to visibly mark yourself as a friendly to other players (was a PvE server). Ive got no Experience with Scripting in Arma but if that is possible it should help a bit with the teamkilling and it might even be relevant for I&A4. Then again i dont know if AI react to Chemlights/IR strobes or not.
