We (by we I mean lord and saviour @Whigital) has scripted this into I&A already.
Current system requires you to land on top of the pods to dock, this can be a bit tricky for less experienced pilots. I find it rather easy (insert ego boost)
Yeah having a winch lift them would be cool. However system already in place is accessible by all, no mod required.
@SiegeSix Has also highlighted a issue as it would have to be client side to even be considered for EU 1 and I can’t find anything on there either atm.

Situation
Some time in the seventies an american and japanese scientific task force was formed in secrecy. Their main duties were to establish a research lab on Wake Island in order to establish an isolated forefront for their scientific discoveries. Sometime in the new century a breakthrough was discovered. It appeared they had opened an anomaly. Just a couple of days ago, a scientist were sent in full biohazard equipment to interact with the anomaly. Any and all contact between the island and ANYWHERE else was cut off the moment they laid hands on the anomaly. Fearing public knowledge of the situation, the top brass within the task force ordered a complete shutdown of the island.

I'm Damo3D been here about 6 weeks and this is my first venture into online multiplayer, well where people talk and help. Mostly play games on a casual basis and I have really enjoyed the learning curve here. Work and life keep me fairly tied up, so I jump on when I can in the evening/night. Lots of A/G, less so A/A.
Probably going to get the Typhoon day 1, though, for a slicker A/A platform.
For PvE, I also enjoy dynamic and procedural missions, but lately I've been looking into pre-briefed operations gamenight-style with some people from a popular YouTuber's server. To coordinate strikes from different IPs but still hitting at the same time while the CAP kept us safe was very satisfying.
Haven't done much PvP, but I can see it tickle me.

Idea:
Enemy units will come looking for captured units that are still carrying their radio. To prevent this, players have to strip and search every captured unit.
Edit: and remove their radio ofcourse
