It is with great sadness that I have to inform you of the passing of @Mikael on Friday July 15.
He was involved in an motorcycle accident and succumbed to his injuries.
 
I know Mikael was a big part of you community and he often talked about how much enjoyed the ARMA sessions he had with you all.
 
I will come back with more information about the funeral arrangements when I get them.

With a world at war and rising tensions between Livonia and its neighbours Belarus and Russia, the Livonian government has begun training conscripts to support the necessary troops required in accordance with NATO’s article 5. Today Eagle Company’s 3rd infantry platoon is assigned combined arms practice with a cavalry unit. this will be their last training assignment before going on deployment to the Mediterranean.
Despite issues with radio communications the training is set to proceed.

Situation
Are you ready to rally?!
With the Altian conflict finally at a close IDAP is organizing a rally with help from local companies to collect money for rebuilding the island. A long-haul race from Syrta to the Almyra Salt flat. It looks to be an exciting race!
Each team will consist of a driver, a navigator, and a support man. The driver drives, the navigator makes use of a map and GPS to help navigate the driver and the support man trails behind with a repair vehicle in the event of damage & roll overs.
Aside from the Track supervisor slot (Game master) There are 3 other organisational slots that are welcome to be filled by anyone interested in helping keeping track of starting and arrival times.

Situation
During the events of Clean-up and Heisenberg events unfolded that lead to a temporary coalition with the Russian Federation.
The Russian FSS Have been hard at work to destabilize the Altian islands with the express intention of drawing CSAT out of Stratis where an Iranian force is training AAF soldiers. Intel suggests however that CSAT is doing more than training but also uses the island as an experimental weapons development centre (EWDC). As NATO activity has thrown a wrench in the destabilisation of the island the FSS are now willing to work together with NATO to defeat the common enemy that is CSAT by staging a surprise assault on the island.
 
Our mission will be to find the EWDC, find out what they are developing, gather evidence and then destroy it. First we must destroy two SAM sites on the eastern shore to ensure CAS elements can perform their duties.
 
As stealth will only get us so far with the heavy presence of CSAT & AAF on the island we will be receiving a number of CAS elements to ensure mission success. We will be attacking the island at a time that most posts will be minimally occupied due to a religious holiday. Once CSAT and the AAF are aware of our position though we will have a limited window to perform our mission and get out. Given enough time they will mobilize and overwhelm our position regardless of the fire support we can offer.
 
Due to the geopolitical situation we find ourselves in it is unlikely that this will turn into a international incident. CSAT will have reason to keep this facility a secret and them making a big deal out of this would mean that secret would come out as well.

Gain a foothold and fortify our position. Capture strategic objectives. Establish favourable relations with the local populace.
 
Execution
At CMD’s discretion.
 
Section cohesion is of utmost importance. The enemy outnumbers us greatly and will not hesitate to exploit gaps in our situational awareness.
Counter-attacks and a general resistance to our efforts will ask for quick shifts in our tactics.
 
Admin / Logistics
Reinforcements are unlimited and directed by CMD. Resupply is CMD’s prerogative.
Enemy prisoners of war (POW) are to be treated well and brought to base for questioning.
 
The Logistics team has full discretion as to the fortification of our FOB under CMD's guidance. If no other tasking, default to supply and POW escort.
 
Command / Signal
Operations and ground control lie solely with the Platoon Commander. The RTO handles air traffic and can supplement communications.
 
Support unit slots are under Platoon Command's prerogative and can be asked to reconsider their slot, but never forced to give them up in favour of another player. All units must be tasked fairly.
 
Squad leaders are responsible for the operational effectiveness of their teams.

Been here since 2012/2013 ish and seen more than enough quarrels and problems that tear the community apart. Hell, I've been involved in more than enough of them.
 
I tire of getting involved now though. For good or worse, I've seen the damage.
 
I can't really say for sure as I have not a full clue what has been happening. However, this seems reminiscent of the 2015(ish) dillema where a metric crap ton of staff and community members left over possibly the biggest divide I have seen in this community. It seems clear to me that there has been one hell of a disagreement of sorts between group A and group B, but again, I don't understand what has happened fully. I just hope that we get a good end result from all this as we did from the old divide so to speak.
 
Things'll pick up then probably fall again. I feel it's a natural progression at this point and the staff are not really all to blame, nor are the players. I just feel that ArmA is a dying game and it's hard to build a popular community from it. You've just got to hope that you keep the people that you got and maintain numbers but naturally things can either become boring or disagreements are made and people leave.
 
I don't have any problems if players or staff wanna leave to find new places to play. If they wanna bring people with them then hey, whatever makes them happy. The thing that's always kept AhoyWorld together though is that there will always be someone here who remains fiercely loyal to keeping it afloat. I respect those that manage that because I doubt I'd handle the heat.
 
Many-a-times I've considered leaving this community. From one shit show to another or one disagreement to the next. However I've never really managed it, I've looked around and never found a community that has what this has. I have good friends within this community and without it, I never would have met them. As I'm sure many others have. So long as there are great people to hang out with here, I don't see any major problems.
 
Either way, I'm on this ship whether it sinks or gets tugged to brighter waters.

Now to answer your question:
 
 
This would be the automatic teamkill script we use on the public server to help with trolling, one teamkill results in a warning message, two results in the offender having their simulation disabled, third time the offender is kicked from the server for a set period of time. Unfortunately the script can't distinguish between genuine accidents and intentional teamkilling, as every teamkill is treated equally. (The only exception being pilots)
 
I would recommend joining the Discord server as well, as you are more likely to get a response a lot sooner for any questions you might have.
