  1. After a tedious day of sofa shopping (managed to make one of the rare DFS sales) with the Mrs and a chilled game of arma, cleaning through some screenshots and found this gem from a game of civ 6.
  2. As a complete Arma series newbie with 3 games on eu1 under my belt I'm throwing my next to worthless opinion in, I'd always thought it's better learning to play the infantry role first then try piloting, if I can't shoot in a direction how will I ever fly to it . Imo, comms is the most important one, it's pretty daunting for a new player wanting to get involved with AW a lot more, then there's the dreaded tfr. Ace medical has a lot of videos on YouTube, and loads of tables to try and make sense of but different learning styles may prefer hands on experience. General discipline I thought wouldn't be needed?? Just don't be a dick, follow the c.o.c, as a squaddie you can recommend to your uppers a different idea/action, but still they have the final say. They're all good recommendations, I would sign up for all of them, especially launchers & radios. But it looks like you have everything covered. If I could ask for two for consideration? Map reading possibly, Might sound stupid? and possibly ground vehicles driving & engaging enemies (depends on how often heavier vehicles are used).
  3. Hi Olin Ra & welcome! I'm pretty new here myself, I've joined a few games on eu1 and have had a great time. Best bits of advice I can give is say hello to your group when you join and be vocal in your group chat, makes your experience 10x greater. Sharing your mags with team mates who've ran out is a good way of making friends, (you can take them back if they stand up and wave at a tigris). Also read the forums & guides and you'll pick up info you never knew existed. And don't stand up in the open fields when everyone's getting lit up around you (Tried and tested). Lastly, shit happens. I've been sniped by team mates, shot point blank clearing a town, just brush it off the players usually apologize straight away. See you in game
  4. That is fantastic loving the layout, looking forward to seeing more
  5. Hello everyone, name Stu Fletcher and I'm new to Ahoy world and the ARMA series. I play multiple games from SC2, PUBG, Squad to name a few and now ARMA 3 must admit the controls are a bit more complex than the average game... Cant wait to try some Invade & Annex missions with everyone in the future, I'm currently messing around with editor trying out weapons and controls. Any advice you would recommend for a complete newbie? I've downloaded the mods for AW and have been watching guides for load outs and 'roles' although i think I'll be staying away from Medic for a while! Wounded might be better off wounded if i was in charge.
