Hello and welcome! Sounds like you had a blast
  2. Hello and welcome to AW In armasync, connect to the enhanced repository and refresh. If you see anything in red, tick their boxes and press the play-button thingy. I'm not a tech-wizard like some gurus here, but that would be my first course of action.
  3. Both disappeared. Collected intel from three dead ai.
  4. Not sure if a bug or something else, but when in doubt.. last night at malden had two tasks, downed uav and cache to destroy. Did the uav first and gathered intel. When intel was used the map updated the zones, but the cache location disappeared completely.
  5. Ready to get my feet wet! But umm, are there no signups yet?
  6. Hey, thanks for the gamenight to everyone involved, 'twas awesome. As a whole, I think that we were effective and hit objectives hard, which is always nice. Few issues, though minor ones and related directly to me. Had a small fright when game started and AR had only 2 30 rnd magazines of 5.56 as ammo no biggie though. The smoke rounds from mortars at the end of the mission, you could see through the smoke with a scope. Though weird, I personally took advantage of it, how ever immersion breaking it was. If I shouldn't have done it, let me know and I'll restrain myself in the future. Another gripe with myself was when GhostDragon took ASL. I should've taken immediate team lead of A2 when this happened. At least this is my understanding that this is the AR's duty. I just wasn't on the ball, I realized this only at the last minutes of the mission. After Ghost started as ASL I feel that A2 deteriorated a bit and lost it's cohesiveness because of me. If this happens again poke me and tell me to do my job. I think ghost had to herd the whole of alpha AND lead A2. Other than that, I think A2 kicked ass and it was a joy to advance behind leo and XWatt, learned a thing or two of CQB
  7. Sry about the JIP on the last training session, haven't been checking the events for a while (or the entire site for that matter) so wasn't aware of it until Olim Ra messaged me. I know that this might be a bit soon, but would love the training session on leadership and it's tactics. If I understood correctly that's goming up next, no?
  8. Great guide! I've been so busy with life and when I actually have time to play I've been putting it into learning mission making. This is kinda stuff really makes it easier for (us) new guys and encourages to jump in unfamiliar roles.
  9. Mission and mood was great, looking forward for more.
  10. pics from tonight, re-insertion after a lucky pot-shot from the ai and the wrath of zeus. Good times.
  11. This sounds great! Depending on the date, count me in. *Edit, has this been already?
  12. I'd have to agree that 6 wouldn't be enough, that's why I never suggested such a thing.
  13. Cool! I'm planning on wading knee deep in tutorials how to do this stuff, should be fun. I'm sure I have time some to drop by and have a chat, though the weekend is looking to be pretty busy for a change.
  14. I'm really liking the atmosphere of AWE, the banter is good (though I don't generally participate, but that's just because my spoken english is a bit rusty) and the community has been welcoming. So thanks for that. To the point: I've been browsing the events, I for one would wholeheartedly welcome a gamenight, where the blufor would be mercenaries instead of, say, US or UK troops. There is a shit-ton of cool gear to rock in the arsenal, and I personally fancy caps and such instead of helmets. So basically this is just a way to circumnavigate the army-helmet-and-uniform standardized normal gameplay. Which I do enjoy, don't get me wrong. I also see the point in wearing a helmet, oddly enough. But there is a certain charm in not having all the best possible armor and equipment at your disposal, making situations just a bit more intense. But, as I don't have any experience in making missions, I'm not capable of constructing such a scenario myself. So pretty please? If you guys feel that this kind of a scenario could be fun, I'm willing to roll up my sleeves, put my my non-existent money where my mouth is and try to learn making the mission, given that someone who actually knows what he's doing is willing to be at the drivers seat. Have a picture of a Michael Bay-movie as a bonus. Tata!
  15. As a noob: this was quite helpful, thanks.

    Hello!

Finally registered on the forum, yay! Been to the enhanced server a few times, and looking forward for more I enjoy playing as a medic in EU1, and though the ace 3 medical system seems a bit daunting I believe it will only make it more fun once I get to grips with it. If you've got any good pointers, they'd be appreciated. See you in the thick of it!
