  1. Is there a way to change the countermeasures on the Littlebird? Currently the LWIRCM are very ineffective at actually fending off incoming missiles. More often than not it renders the CAS-LB useless as you practically get shot down with every incoming SAM. As soon as you deploy the countermeasures it fires off those 120 LWIRCMs which might just keep one missile from hitting you but as soon as you get locked on a second time you will get hit and shot down. Even if the chaff/flares are still being auto-deployed.
  2. Those damn sneaky trees...
  3. Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls! Step closer and behold the wonderful Arma franchise Steam sale! Now is the time to whip out your wallets and spend your hard earned currency-monies on those pesky DLCs you've always wanted to own but so far have been to thrifty to actually get! http://store.steampowered.com/sale/arma/
  4. I see. Yeah, I stopped carrying Atropine for the same reason. Don't even get me started on the actual medical realism of the medications/medical system compared to real life.. Carrying two types of volume adds to much clutter to my backpack. But I guess that is a taste thing. The only volume I've ever run out of was 1000ml, but after that occasion I started carrying like 3 or 4 of those. You beat me to writing a guide . Was playing with the thought of doing so after seeing quite a lot of players wanting to try medic but not knowing how to effectively do so. Medic is definitely my second favourite role after vortex
  5. Just a quick question: Why would you bring plasma at all? Why not just take some more saline? There's no difference between saline, plasma and blood in ACE medical, so why bother?

    whoops

  7. I can confirm it is not working on Taki and Fallujah.
  8. Ah, I'd consider 25 infantry and 4 coyotes securing a perimeter a fairly safe space
  9. I actually hat to land right there after the fast rope because there was a little "happy accident" Landing might be tactical, but fast roping is tacticool
  10. Psssssssst. That was totally unrelated
  11. Thing is that it was at a temporary "green zone" where we went to get resupplies/ammo/medical. There was no battle going on, everyone was busy either rearming or getting patched up.
  12. And it looked sexy as hell, too!
  13. I'm not sure and I don't want to point fingers at anyone if I'm not 100% solid on who it was. But next time that happens I'll definitely consider it. We just told him to fuck off and continued treating our patient. @DeVision, do you remember who it was?
  14. The following describes a situation often encountered in real life and also while playing on the server (AWE). Medics arrive on scene and start treating a patient. Bystanders will gather round and in most cases even tell the medics what they should do and what the 'best' treatment for the patient is. One situation that I have in mind was when @DeVision and I were playing as AMedic and BMedic and arrived to treat a heavily wounded and unconscious patient on the battlefield. As soon as we arrived and started treating the patient together, splitting up our work and working perfectly in sync, someone approached us from behind and started telling the both of us what we should do, what bandages we should use and that we have to get a blood transfusion running to get the patient back on his feet. All while everyone else was rearming and getting ready for the second push. Now I realize that it's just a game and that the consequences are not as severe as in real life but that particular guy really got our blood going. Don't treat the medics as if they are completely stupid and incompetent. If we wouldn't know what we are doing, we'd take a different role or ask someone to guide us. Medics have totally different and more advanced capabilities of providing life support than a regular soldier. Let them do their job and do yours. We're not gonna tell a marksman how he should zero his rifle or tell ASL how they should command their squads.. Anywho, sorry for the rant but I had to get this out of my system cause shit like this really gets me going...
