    Some 'bugs' i can remember from last night:
     
    -AT and LAT roles need tweaking (for AAF)
    -Backpack was lost after jumping out of a helicopter
    -Donating points to your group leader gives you a pop-up with the variable name of your group-leader not the name of the person
    -When everyone else left I tried switching into vortex 1, which was empty at the time.  It told me that it was not empy but seeing how I was the only one on the server ...
    -clear vehicle inventory and sling weapon actions would be nice

    Version 035 of I&A 4 is on server now and undergoing testing.  We'll be doing another Alpha Test on Friday (1800GMT)
     
    Change log:
    1. Tweaks to compass direction (vehicle direction if driver, player / gunner direction in other cases)
    2. CSAT Xi'an added to vehicles whitelist for co-pilot allowance; base default Xi'ans now spawn unarmed. Reward Xi'ans spawn armed.
    3. Removed Scout version of the Nyx from Independent OPFOR vehicles.
    4. Only non-incapacitated players now considered for medical alert (players nearby who could revive you).
    5. Fixes to destroy cache mission.
    6. Tweaks to soldier blue force tracking (should stop it from disappearing randomly).
    7. Players not in your group will now show name and rank tags within 30m. Players in your group, this range is 200m.
    8. Fix for ground vehicles excluding gunners ('Co-pilot disabled on this vehicle')
    9. Added automated team-kill sanction measures (three strikes rule).
    10. Tweaks to medical actions (should get reward points for revives?)
    11. Restored ability of zeus players to remove players from group roles in squad management.
    12. Removed admin notification of player suicides, as no easy way to detect between manual respawn or just bleeding out.
    13. Add night vision goggles to all default loadouts.
    14. UAV operator now has access to artillery computer.
    15. Removed RANDOM button from Arsenal.
    16. Tweaks to OPFOR awareness, after calling in support, OPFOR units will return to patrol waypoints after dealing with threats.
    17. Added automatic parachutes to air vehicles (if you jump out of a helicopter, you'll automatically get a parachute; your backpack will be restored when you touch down).
    18. Revised arsenal. Suppressors and bipods are now reward-purchased items. Slight limit on weaponry as you can purchase additional weapons with reward points.
    19. Added weapons and gear purchase functionality to reward menu.
    20. Fix for donating points to group leader.
    21. Added reward-purchased deployable ammo box functionality with faction-specific box loadouts.
    22. Added first version of AI Buddy (purchased with reward points)
    23. Secondary missions: extended timeout to minimum 25 minutes, plus an extra 5-10 minutes. Also, first person detected by enemies in the secondary AO will trigger a bonus 10 minute extension.
    24. Added new secondary missions: destroy enemy artillery pieces and destroy tank platoon.
    25. Added remote designator backpack to Spotter class.
    26. Default quad bikes set to faction type.
    27. Time multiplier changed to default 6x, parameter option for 12x.
    28. Completely removed Freedom / Liberty / +turrets for AAF
    29. Added flavour rifles at Arsenal tables.
    30. Main AOs that have civilians now also spawn civilian vehicles; some on roads, some in garages (if there are any garages).

    Found that as a Sniper I could not find the .50cal Lynx?! (Bad with names). 
    But heard that @Kacper could find in his Arsenal.Besides that I Think it looks as it is going the right way.

    AFAIK, that came about mostly because of the (current?) intentions for EU#2, namely that squad structure would be enforced along with an expectation of teamwork.
     
    Given that, it would be considered an improvement to not be required to Lobby when switching slot.
     
    I don't consider it inferior or more than marginally more complex myself, and it might cut down on lobby idling too.

    Ahoy Members,
     
    This is just a brief update on what's been happening internally and externally in AhoyWorld.
     
    First, I would like to thank you all for the kind words regarding the change over.
    It certainly has been an eventful few weeks. There has been a lot of discussions involving finances, staff structure, activity and how we can improve upon them.
    First change I'd like to announce is how the staff structure is displayed: this will clarify the roles of each member and make easier to know who reports to who.

    As you can see, there are positions available that we are looking to fill.

    Second change made is how we as staff communicate.
     
    We've been using Telegram for the last few years for business-related chats, quick-fire questions and response and felt that it was time to move on. So without further ado, we have finally decided to migrate over to Discord. 
    We felt that by doing this we could better accommodate you guys which should help us engage and interact with our members more. Being a gaming platform, hopefully it will expose and grow AhoyWorld again.

    Now's also a good time to confirm something we teased a few weeks ago: Invade & Annex 4.
    We have been hard at work developing the sequel to Invade & Annex, rewriting the mission from scratch with an emphasis on efficiency and security, meaning more fps and (hopefully) less hacking. We'll be running an open beta test in the near future, so stay tuned.
     
    And lastly, I would like to take a moment to thank all the staff for their hard work behind the scenes, especially @Ryko for his rigorous testing and development of I&A4 and @GhostDragon for maintaining the back end stuff to making sure that you all have a smooth and enjoyable experience within AhoyWorld.

    Hi all,
     
    I will keep this brief,
     
    As you've all probably noticed Piranha hasn't been around much lately, this is due to a number of reasons which I won't go into, so with a heavy heart he has decided that it would be best for the community to step down from his leadership role and hand the reins over to me.
     
    This isn't my first rodeo, and I'm sure further down the line I may make mistakes, possibly big mistakes, and bad decisions that not many people may agree with. Nevertheless what I can bring to the table is openness, transparency and hopefully stability.
     
    There are a few areas that I will be looking to improve on; clarity of roles, community engagement and most importantly communication within staff.
     
    I hope that you will all back me through this difficult period and be patient with me in trying to turn this community around.
     
    Remember, if you have any ideas/suggestions please bring them to us, we are always looking to improve.
     
    Lastly, I would like to thank @PiranhA for his contribution and wish him all the best for his future endeavours.

    I find that completing AOs now take longer than before mainly because armour and vehicles don't get taken out. I am aware that the number of AT slots should be enough but the realities of EU1 often get in the way of the ideal situation.

    A light AT class or just whitelisting the non-lockable launchers would seem like a viable solution to me.

    CLS team has always been pointless, yes.
    More than enough medics without it, and if everyone followed lobby structure they'd still not be used as they can't do anything the squad medics can't.

    That sounds like a reasonable idea to me, however server roles are so packed there are not even basic rifleman slots. Maybe if we removed the CLS Team?

    any ETA on the hotfix that ll fix "the no AT if not AT" thing
     
    i first assumed you limited ATweapons like guided ones - but i really dont see a point in restricting launchers like the RPG42(and/or the MAWS) to most classes.
    I do see the point for Autofrifleman/Medics/Snipers/Marksman but why would a regular engineer or foot soldier be denied access to a certain basic of AT defense tools.
    Dont expect us ATguys to comon kill MRAPs and low shit any boomstick can and should deal with.

    I&A 3.3.8.1 (Hotfix) is now live on our Public Servers. Please report any feedback/bugs in this thread. The changelog is as follows;
     
    - [Tweaked] Gear is now automatically saved upon closing the Arsenal and reloaded upon respawn.
    - [Tweaked] Admins no longer get kicked for being in a pilot seat without being pilot.
    - [Tweaked] Under the hood changes to the XML coding.
    - [Added] Toggling Sling Weapon action and Ghost Hawk doors action can now be done from the map/diary settings entry.
    - [Added] The old vehicle passengers information HUD has been added to the map/diary settings entry. It is off by default, but can be toggled from there.

    After reading again i need to correct myself there,i took the step from AA defense for FOB Guardian/Martian to add a destroyer spawn for marine ops/similar

    i dont see why the Fire Support guys should be allowed to use any of the statics at all,their job is Mortar and the use of drones.
    Statics should be limited to engineers (not repair specs) only.
     
     
    i approve the accessabilty of medkits to all units for enhancing the coop spirit as all units can (should be able to) revive downed players,altho it should only give back 70% of health if applied by a non-medic.
    I dont see the point for giving the ability to everybody to "carry" mortar/UAV backpacks to all units,but i welcome that its limited to "carry" and not "use" of such.
     
     
     
    makes sense reading,but 2 explosive charges equal to 1 satchel charge,so,its kind of math > sense on this one
     
     
    dislike all versions of this,like i mentioned before,statics should be accessable to Engineers only and once deployed should be usable for any unit,similar like MG statics or comon MG nest´s - it doesnt require alot of schooling to pick up the concept irl
    And why would a Offroad AT have its main support element cut to cater to limits that are obviously useless.
    They r getting used barely anyway currently.

    Hi everybody,
     
    I'm Grett, 30 years old, from the Netherlands and I've been responding to madinos_ for the last decade.
     
    I've got Arma3 a couple of weeks ago and after playing some Dynamic Ops from the workshop, I found you guys.
    And it has been a great journey it has been so far.
     
    Accidentally killed a buddy with a grenade (when trying to switch to smokes) Got trigger happy on a friendly when clearing a building Dying on route to AO, because of some very persistent AA Getting run over by enemy armor Using dumb tactics and getting myself killed in the process.  
    You get the drift, but most of all some good old fun.
     
    I have taken a peek at your Enhanced servers, but for now I'll try to get more comfortable with all the mechanics in the public servers.
    A little shout out to Derp who helped out on my first run on EU#1.
     
    Hope to see you all on the battlefield!
