Are the official mods supported?

Hi David I will check, but I have just noted the crashes and FPS drop are reported in the feedback tracker in Arma for the new patch dated today. I am on max at the moment so I could change thing to improve FPS but it worked on max before. It does seem that the saved file format has change some how. Thanks Edit... Change setting to very high and now back to 60fps SP and between 20 - 40 MP, froze for about 20 seconds on leaving chopper.

I am new to arma 3 and HW but before the patch I was getting 60 fps and no crashes on HW E1 and other servers. Since yesterday my fps is now around 20 with lag, also today I am unable to play for very long as I seem to crash the program when I am in the new choppers as a passenger. Yesterday I had the same low fps on another server that I also had 60fps before but I did not crash the program then. HW E1 was unplayable yesterday for me. The only thing that has changed is the new patch. I have just checked SP mode and the also has is down to 30fps and it also was 60fps, also the saved game for a mod mission is now incompatible since the patch. All very odd.

Thank you Bruce and Kenny I have installed the official add-ons but not the moded ones as I am still finding my feet. Thanks for the invite Bruce, but I am still sorting things out so I am not ready for E3 at this time, I need a new headset as the cheep one I have kills my ears after about 15 minutes and I still have to get a computer desk and chair, working on the coffee table does not work. I will make my mistakes on E1 for now, then try E3 later when I know what I am doing. Thanks

As you can tell my name is Colin. Retured he he, ex Software Engineer (C,C++,C#), ex RCT, think cold war and no shooting people. I am newish to PC games as the last time I played on PC was OFP and had not built a games PC for about 15 years as I have an XBOX. Four letter word. The one I built gives me 60FPS (using shadowPlay for FPS) on Ahoy server so I am happy. Thank to the people who have help me in game on line as sometimes I am clueless. I need do do a PHD for the Virtual Ammo Box You can find me on the battlefield, just look for the dead one. Now how do I get that little picture in my profile? Cheers All Colin

Thanks Danny I have looked before on TeamSpeak for the E1 Server but no one seems to use it on E1 E2 but I see many using it on E3 with task force radio. The create squad button seems to do nothing, now I cannot connect to your TeamSpeak server as it is full. Still, I had a game today but now I have problems telling friend from foe at distant so I may have team killed, I think its something to do with the ShackTack mod stopping friendly names showing at distance. Lots to learn. Thanks again for your help

Hi Danny I think I missed that bit in the rush to install or the penny did not drop. Impatient, as I do not know how to use TeamSpeak on E1 and thought I needed TFAR . I learn by my mistakes, sometimes. I still don't no how to use TeamSpeak on E1 as I don't seem to hear many people talking on AW server so assumed they was using TeamSpeak. Other Invade & Annex servers seem OK as they seem to use VON This is all new to me as I have not played games on PC since OFP days (I still have the gold addition ) , been on XBOX Thanks Colin

Hi, I am completely new to Arma so a bit green. I followed the instructions and loaded the Official add-ons then I tried the TFAR installation but it was not there so I loaded TFAR from the modded repository and installed in into TeamSpeak, silly me. I think the instructions for TFAR are out of date as there was no two files in the userconfig to copy only an HPP file. Starting up arma and it failed as the last mod "@VTS WeaponResting" had a problem witch I understand is be course it is out of date. Deselected this mod and Arma was OK in single player but on trying to go on AW E1 I had load of key missing errors. Rereading on the addon pages it seems I was silly as the modded files can only be used on AW E3. No mix and match. Removed TFAR and @VTS Weapon Resting from the start-up list and I now joined AW E1 ok except I get this one error when starting Arma and when joining Sever. No Entry Bin\....../Single.StandardSound. Edit.... Tracked it down to the @SpeadofSoundV2 Mod. Another Edit.... I don't think I need this if I have the JSRS sound mod loaded. I think the instructions should make it clear that TFAR is for the modded servers only. I note, copy past does not work on this forum, well not for me. Hope this is clear.
