  2. The dark ritual is complete! I have risen once again to reap the award submissions for this year! The end of 2023 is fast approaching and so it is time to celebrate all the highlights of the past few months! Normally we first vote for what awards can be voted on. I was so happy with last year's awards that I decided to go for the same list this time around. You can vote until the 27th of December. I will then get to work on the results from the 28th onward so we have the results by the 29th ideally. Below is the award list. Copy and paste this list and add the name of the member you wish to nominate for the award with the following format @Nameofmember (description of why is optional). The nominations will close on 23:59 UTC 27/12/2023, so be sure to send in your list before then for it to be counted. The results of the Awards will be posted after they have been counted. ***Important*** [be sure to remove the formatting when you copy and paste the nomination list below] ***Important*** Award list (ONE (1) vote per nomination): AW MVP 2023: AW Most Friendly Admin/Moderator/Spartan 2023: AW Most Helpful Admin/Moderator/Spartan 2023: AW Most Active Staff Member 2023: AW Strictest Staff Member 2023: AW Best Team Player 2023: AW Most Helpful Member *Non Staff* 2023: AW Most Friendly Member 2023: AW Tacti-cool member 2023: AW Underrated Member 2023: AW Most Incoherent Member 2023: AW DAAASSS BOOOOT 2021 - The drunkest member of 2023: AW Best/Worst Pilot 2023: AW Best Voice 2023: AW Funniest Person on Team Speak 2023: AW Worst Joke 2023: AW Best Moment 2023 (can be in-game, on Teamspeak or Forum): AW Best Forum Post 2023 (please put URL in): AW Dankest Meme Post In Discord 2023: AW Best Driver 2023: AW Worst Driver 2023: AW Best Fail 2023: AW Best Ban of 2023: AW TeamSpeak Channel 2023: AW Best Screenshot 2023: AW Best/Worst Call-out 2023: AW Candidate for the Hague 2023: AW Role Model 2023: AW Best Shot/Worst 2023:
  3. Last I'll say on this before I leave this thread be as I don't see the current discussion evolve into anything other than pointing fingers and personal grudges. And as William mentions. This has diverged from the original point. So? My point is that that shouldn't be an issue. I like a lot of different styles of play. AW offers missions and a style of play I really enjoy and like to run myself. Meanwhile there are other styles of play I go elsewhere for.
  4. Why are we reopening this discussion after 1,5+ years? I'm getting a bit tired that this is being brought again so long after the fact. Everyone else seemed to have moved. on... The issue has resolved the way it has. It could have been handled a lot better by everyone who was involved. What else is there still to talk about? This is by no means a comprehensive list of thoughts. Some sections are not as well formulated as others and while I am tired of the discussion flaring up again I am happy to further elaborate to to help understand my point of view. The people that left did so out of their own choice. They were dissatisfied with an aspect of the community and decided to look for what they want somewhere else and found it. Some of them were happy to still play with us but felt unwelcome after the above events and thus have not shown their faces as regularly as they would like. Is it not possible to be part of two communities or must we dedicate ourselves to one singularly? I think it's a disservice to (the choice of) the people that left to say they took each other with them. Especially saying they took people with them they barely spoke to. We are a community that engaged with each other much more than some of us might realise and we did very much transcend the little cliques some people perceived. Plenty of people shared the concerns. Some stayed, some chose to leave. This bit is vague and unfinished. what is your point? I'm not sure what you mean with people getting punished. All the people that left staff positions did so in protest to the decision made. What punishments are you talking about? In general I think you're looking at this too black and white in a world of greys. According to the interpretation of the community rules there was no ban-able offense. Just people going somewhere of their own choice because they heard of another place that offered something they were looking for that we weren't offering. This whole thing could have been handled better by everyone. How and why are discussions we've all had on forums, discord, Teamspeak and any other channel the community has spoken with one another. Lessons learned if something like this ever happens again. Whatever is done in regards to the events of 2021 is done. Everyone else has moved on. I think it's a shame to linger on it so long after and to re-open a discussion I have not heard anything from by anyone else since.
  5. At long last the results are here. It was a fun year with plenty of memories. I'm personally glad to be part of this community and look forward to another year of fun with you all! Former ally Russia was the only potential ally while it was still a candidate for CSAT Membership. With that candidacy now over Belarus will require to act and divert the attention before NATO penetrates their own borders. They have therefore proposed an invasion of Russia to fellow CSAT members to forcibly enter Russia into the pact. With all member states agreed China and Belarus have each begun assaults on Russian forces. A section of Belarussian paratroopers has been assigned to the current fighting in Livonia to pin down de majority of the Russian forces that would pose a threat. With that front occupied Russian forces will not be able to mount a good enough defence while the main Belarussian forces spearheads to Moscow while Chinese forces occupy Major cities in the far east where the government would otherwise escape to. The Livonia Operation has however hit a snag right as Belarussian forces enter Livonian Airspace. Russian AAA defences that were believed inoperable were active, taking down several airplanes. Any that managed to get through were thrown of course due to Russian and NATO air superiority. one team landed south of Topolin, forced to jump early due to a damaged engine. They now find themselves the middle of a German assault on a Russian Supply depot. Their original drop point was supposed to be near the airfield. The pilot managed to bring the airplane about and deploy their vehicles and other heavy equipment near Adamów before crashing near Radacz. The paratroopers will need to find a way out of the battlefield, retrieve their equipment near the river and join the assault on the airfield. The Belarusian air force is overhead providing air support but are fighting fiercely with Russian and American airplanes. After two weeks long stalemate a new offensive is meant to break the Russian lines on the east of the country and liberate the civilian centres there. We are expecting many civilians inside these centres and are therefore advising caution when entering the villages and towns during combat. Leaflets have been dropped to warn the civilians and offer a surrender to the opposing troops. Satellite imagery indicates that the Russians have no intention of surrendering and that civilians have sequestered in their homes. No un-uniformed individual could be seen. Due to the anticipated civilian presence, we will only be able to use infantry on this assault to avoid unnecessary damage to buildings. German forces offered a tank hunter to help deal with enemy vehicles that may threaten the infantry. A medical team will be trailing behind to aid in the treatment of wounded civilians and captured personnel. Last point of importance is that the russians seem to anticipate our assault, There are attempts to Jam our communications, unsuccessfully so far, along with sabotage attempts by some type of black ops unit to destroy radar and SAM sites, some of which were successful. The device was destroyed before it could do harm to friendly forces or civilian infrastructure. CTRG elements, undercover as independent contractor IoN, investigated the site and found clues that indicated the intended deployment of the device was not to harm LDF and German forces but to destroy a nearby underground installation. This installation was an old soviet test site for nuclear weapons but has been repurposed as a research facility since it fell into Russian hands during the invasion. Documentation gathered from the Device’s location as well as Russian personnel captured in Siberia suggest the research facility is tasked with performing Human trials for project Vudu. At this time, we have reason to believe that project Vudu is a bioweapon derived from Columbian parasites. No further intel is available. CTRG team 9 elements will be inserted into enemy territory via a commandeered enemy helicopter and move towards an entry point north of the artillery training site. They will then infiltrate the facility, Gather intel on Project Vudu and extract via the same helicopter. Central Log 1 (post-crash) “Central log 1- I’m not sure if the Russians saw through our IFF or if the AAA gunners simply fired at us without checking what he was shooting at. Regardless, both helicopters were shot down about half a click from the LZ. Both Rogue Pilots are dead as well as Echo 2. The other Echo members are injured. 1 and 3 are immediate, 4 can walk. Their chopper hit several trees on landing. Delta survived that crash with minor scrapes. Ranger managed to land in the open. Alpha, Bravo and Central elements are fine. Ranger pilots are injured but stable. What’s making things worse is that we can’t hail baseplate. It seems our communications are being jammed. Central Log 2 (Zapadlisko) We’ve set up in Zapadlisko to treat the wounded. Echo 4 is dead, died of internal bleeding. We found some civilians hiding out inside the ruins. Russians have been rounding up civilians since they arrived in Nadbor, putting them on trucks and leaving towns desolate. These people managed to escape. Their civilian radios weren’t working either so it’s likely that whatever is jamming our comms is jamming all the comms in the region. We did get some info on Russian patrols fortunately. We’re leaving Echo behind together with Ranger Pilots and moving onwards towards Radio point Krsnik to try and stop the radio Jamming. Central log 3(krsnik) Radio point krsnik is out of order. It seems the Jam wasn’t coming from here. Russian communications are equally down. Either the Jamming is coming from somewhere else, or we have a third-party Jamming comms. We’re getting out of dodge before the Artillery range comes to check out the ruckus. We’ve spotted a likely entry point just northwest in the clearing. Assets: o UGV’s Friendly Forces: - LDF & NATO - Civilian Militia Neutral/unconfirmed forces: - Civilian Militia Enemy Forces: - Russia - ??? Civilians We are uncertain of a civilian presence within the lab. It is unlikely but there have been reports from retaken areas of Livonia that large numbers of the population have disappeared. Mission -Find information on Project Vudu -Extract Execution Movement Plan: At commander’s discretion Rules of engagement: At commander’s discretion

While the device was destroyed a group of independent contractors investigated the site and reported further information back to NATO command. Based on the Gathered intel NATO sent out a special forces team to further investigate the matter. Contact with the insertion helicopter was lost shortly before it arrived at the LZ due to a general communications jam. Search and rescue have been deployed but needs additional feet on the ground to aid in the search. As Eagle company is the closest, they will be deployed to aid in the effort. Their mission was classified so we don’t know their exact mission, but we do know their general AO and equipment. You will be looking for a downed KA-60. They are equipped with Spar-16’s and Mk16 and a mix of military and civilian clothing. It is likely they left tracks for you to follow. It is possible forces will encounter Enemy positions along the way. If possible, Command element is free to engage and secure these positions. Long range communications will be down due to the jam.
