As there will be no gaming for the next few days because something "important" is happening (yeah important for kids...), I thought I'd drop some tactic-yule greetings to you all.
Have a good one! 👍

Hi Chaps,
Just a brief one this month, First off we would like to thank you all for your donations, the support we've received has been quite astonishing. ❤️
A couple of things have been added to our site, one is the merch tab that you will find on top of the forums:

This will direct you to our AW store page where you can purchase all types of clothing, unfortunately there are no mugs
If you hover over the About tab there is a page with availabilities, those can be requested rather than me set the whole shop up which would take months.
It's still very early stages but more items will be added eventually.
We now have a dedicated Invade and Annex page added to the website:

There you will find the details of what I&A is about and what has changed in 4.
During the last beta test we found some unforeseen issues and bugs so we decided to stop the count down timer, once these have been smashed we will notify you when the count down begins
That is all for now, lets prepare for a busy period of festive cheers and beers and remember, don't forget to vote soon for the AhoyWorld end of year 2018 awards.
If anyone has any concerns, issues or see anything they shouldn't please don't hesitate to contact a member of Core Staff or myself.

Ahoy all,
Not much to report this month, we have some good news and unfortunately not so good news.
As you are aware changes have already been made in AWE;
Colsta has stepped down handing his Team Lead role over to Mouldy.
Repo size has been massively reduced to 16g in total.
There are more to follow which I can't go in to details just yet.
I would like to thank all the AWE staff team for their hard work in making this happen and continuing to improve the experience for all.
We are very close to completion of Invade and Annex 4 although no date is yet to be revealed.
Our first beta test will begin tomorrow Friday 26th October at 1900UTC on EU2.
Lastly, the not so good news;
Our server fees and Teamspeak licence are due this month, once those are paid our funds will be critical.
Piranha has kindly donated privately to last us until Jan, If this trend continues then we may have to look at the possibility of closing down in January/February time.
We have already decided to drop down to a smaller Teamspeak server to save cost and are discussing other options to ensure our survival.
See you in the 'fields,

Ahoy Members,
This is just a brief update on what's been happening internally and externally in AhoyWorld.
First, I would like to thank you all for the kind words regarding the change over.
It certainly has been an eventful few weeks. There has been a lot of discussions involving finances, staff structure, activity and how we can improve upon them.
First change I'd like to announce is how the staff structure is displayed: this will clarify the roles of each member and make easier to know who reports to who.
We will keep this updated here:
As you can see, there are positions available that we are looking to fill.
Second change made is how we as staff communicate.
We've been using Telegram for the last few years for business-related chats, quick-fire questions and response and felt that it was time to move on. So without further ado, we have finally decided to migrate over to Discord.
We felt that by doing this we could better accommodate you guys which should help us engage and interact with our members more. Being a gaming platform, hopefully it will expose and grow AhoyWorld again.
You're all more than welcome to click the banner below:
Please bear in mind that this will be a TEXT chat only and not a replacement for TeamSpeak.
Now's also a good time to confirm something we teased a few weeks ago: Invade & Annex 4.
We have been hard at work developing the sequel to Invade & Annex, rewriting the mission from scratch with an emphasis on efficiency and security, meaning more fps and (hopefully) less hacking. We'll be running an open beta test in the near future, so stay tuned.
And lastly, I would like to take a moment to thank all the staff for their hard work behind the scenes, especially @Ryko for his rigorous testing and development of I&A4 and @GhostDragon for maintaining the back end stuff to making sure that you all have a smooth and enjoyable experience within AhoyWorld.
That's all for now, we look forward to seeing you on our various virtual battlefields.

Squad Thursday is official

(Every Thursday at 7PM!)
Upcoming Event (#1)
Date: 15/03/18
Time: 19:00(UTC)
Mode: Insurgency (customized)
Map: Narva
Server: [ENG] EU1 AhoyWorld.net
Similarly to Stiletto Wednesday and Stiletto Friday, Squad Thursday will now fill that day-long gap between those two events with some tactical, team-play oriented Squad action!
Each Thursday we will take two opposing player teams and throw them against each other in custom scenarios built from Squad's vanilla game modes. These scenarios will revolve around preset rules in order to keep things original and interesting.
No roles are predetermined before the event, however team will be balanced according to player numbers and individual skill/experience. Anyone is welcome to take the Squad Leader role for their team and use their own style of tactics, provided they stick to the rules given at the time. Don't be shy, we encourage it!
If anyone is interested in giving squad leading a try for any specific event, please respond to this topic with the comment:
" @J0hnson I want to Squad Lead for the next event! "
If you have any comments, questions or feedback regarding Squad Thursday, feel free to leave a reply to this post.
This post will be updated according to the date of the next event after the previous event has passed.

Having recently become a spartan for AW, as well as a few others, activity on EU1/2 in terms of Zeus' should be relatively high.
As such, i'd like to know from you guys that play, what is it that you'd like from us to make things more exciting/interesting/generally better for you for either/both:
1) Pre-determined AO's or side missions.
2) Our own custom made zeus missions.
Try to keep in mind the limitations of Zeus abilities. We're not Dev's 😊

Hopefully everyone can make it and we can enjoy what was the great Jeff Lincoln.

AhoyWorld's first Squad Night test this weekend! (24/02/18)
Game: Squad
Server Name: [ENG] EU1 AhoyWorld.net
Map: Chora
Gamemode: Insurgency
Johnson and Mini will be hosting a Squad Night this weekend on Saturday, 24 February, at 16:00 UTC to test how well certain gamemodes and play-styles work out.
The event will take place on the map of Chora; a small, Middle-Eastern basin located in the bottleneck of an Afghan mountain range.
The gamemode will be Insurgency: The Insurgent team will be tasked with protecting five ammo caches that are randomly spawned around the map, while the US Army team must find and destroy these objectives using the Squad Leader's incendiary grenade!
However, there will be some custom limitations to this gamemode during this event. This is to ensure that the core gameplay mechanics of the mode are tested:
The Insurgent team must super-FOB around a singular, self-selected cache.
The Insurgent Squad Leader then must tell the US Army team where their cache is once they are ready to defend it (the US Army team must not leave base until they receive this information).
The US Army team can only attack this single cache once told where it is and cannot hunt for more.
Should we have enough time and if the US Army manages to destroy this cache, the US Army must return to base and the process will repeat.
Should the US Army run out of tickets before a singular cache is destroyed, the Insurgents win.
Your hosts are hoping for about eighteen players in order to fill two squads, one for each team, so join in and help them out!
Hope to see you there!

Today, without much fluff, we would like to present to you a new survey. We hope to gather some valuable data and ultimately offer you a platform to direct your voice towards topical issues and feedback.
The form will remain open for submissions for two weeks, or until Sunday, 25 February 2018.
We will then take time to evaluate the responses and provide you with the results in a timely manner.
Most sections should be rather self-explanatory, but if there are any questions about the questions, this is the topic to ask them.
Of course, we expect all responses to be honest and serious.
Thank you kindly,
The AWE Staff Team

Hello everyone,
We've become a bit nostalgic from the old days and have uploaded I&A 2 onto EU2.
It will be live this weekend only.
Obviously, it will be different to what you are used to with I&A 3, however, the core gameplay still remains
All normal rules apply
All mods are the same
Back are the days were AO's are random and you have one base to operate from.
Hop on and enjoy
